People have been pairing chocolate with hazelnut for millenia. Why not – it’s a perfect pairing. We paired it with honeybush – our favorite tea – to make a decadent, delicious drink. Add a splash of cream and/or a pinch of sugar, or turn it into the most wonderful latte ever.

This has a nice rich flavor in a subtle way. At first I thought it was too light for my liking, but I kept reaching for it and drank the cup down pretty quickly! The chocolate and hazelnut are both present in just the right amounts. Overall a pretty tasty tea.

The rooibos here is a little peppery. Maybe that’s from the hazelnut flavoring. It’s not a flavoring I prefer in any blend I find it in. I love all other nuts, but hazelnuts are sometimes weird for me. I don’t sense any chocolate here. The blend is rather thin and unexciting. I wish I’d had milk in the house when I drank this one because I’m sure that would have helped, but even so, it wasn’t up to par with other chocolate rooibos blends. Or I guess it kind of was because many chocolate rooibos blends aren’t super great. But some are. Not really this one.

Holy Dessert Tea Batman! This stuff is delicious. I think I’ll definitely steep longer in the future. The hazelnut is subtle and not overpowering, the cocoa is just enough to let you know it’s there. A perfect tea to have with dessert or just after dinner.
