Hmm this smells strongly like Adagio’s pumpkin honeybush, which was always weirdly sweet and fruity to me. I’m not opposed to how this tastes, but I really wouldn’t call it a chai. It’s quite fruity and super mildly spiced. The resteep was as strong as the first. Not for me, but not a bad tea.

This was a sample pack to try this chai and I think I’ll need a bigger pouch of this. Cardamom and clove seem to be the top notes, but there is a carrot cake cinnamon pastry goodness underneath that becomes more prominent as the cup cools. This is a nice change of pace from a caffeinated chai that is interesting enough to drink more than once, and a reminder to let the cup cool while savoring its contents.

Sipdown! (41 | 315)

I think this one is currently winning for me in terms of pumpkin spice teas.

It has a great balance of desserty and pumpkin-y combined with spices that are strong enough to make it a chai – the cardamom in particular stands out nicely. And it’s a rooibos base, so it’s caffeine free, plus the rooibos just goes so well with the flavors.

Yep, definitely winning. I went to order a tin of this and they’re out of stock, boooo! Onto the restock notification list I go. :P

Actually, it’s only the tin that is out of stock. Looks like the teabags, samplers, and 4 oz. bags are still in stock.

I saw that Alita, but I would rather have the tin since it’s only 3 ounces versus 4.
