Z is for…Zesty Earl Grey

This has kept me company as I study for my last law school exam ever! (Hopefully, I guess I could fail one and need to rewrite but I don’t think that will be the case)

As far as EGs go, it was not as bold and brisk as I expected which made for an alright latte. Still a plain EG latte so not a tea I need more of but better than expected. Thank you Roswell Strange for sharing!

Made a massive iced pitcher of this today for everyone in the lab to sip on throughout the morning – sometimes a giant jug of something communal is exactly what you need. I mostly chose this because I want to work through some of my stash of work teas, and I have a lot of this that a coworker generously gifted me…

It wasn’t bad iced – though I think it would be better hot. Very bold and intense flavour; more of that brisk and tannic black tea note, with a crisp/clean finishing unadulterated bergamot. I’d call it a very “classically flavoured” Earl Grey, though I appreciate that as intense as the bergamot felt the black tea base seemed to be stronger still. Very much as “wake up and get you going for the day” type of EG…
