From Taiwan Tea Crafts

Refined by the Taiwan Research and Extension Station, this TRES No. 8 Assamica strand presents itself as a large, wonderfully curled and lustrous full leaf; reminiscent of the best Bao Zhongs or Wuyi style oolongs. A wonderfully fruity aroma emanates from the cup that evokes stewed cherries and apricot jam. In the cup, one experiences a round, fruity sweetness that is quite heady and very refreshing. Even more refreshing since it is a spring picking of this strand. Usually, later crops are considered as preferred ones for their fuller body and structure. We think the spring flush deserves its rightful place in our catalog for its superb fruitiness and flowing, refreshing body with very tame tannins. We’ve been drinking this tea as our favourite wake-up tea since it’s arrival and have shared a many surprise samples along with orders all throughout this spring. We’ve received so many requests about that we’ve decided to share our morning stash with all of you. But beware, this is a very ephemeral Lot! It will go fast and will not return before next spring. If black teas have never been your thing because you thought of them as too astringent, this would be a great tea to try. I bet it might change your perception about them. Add the exuberance of the Sun Moon lake terroir and you will fall for its charm. It is fantastic hot and even better as an iced tea! A perfect choice for your hot summer outings.

mmmm i like this one! it’s got an interesting flavour to it. The usual TTC flavour profile but then in the background theres almost like a plum-y sort of deeper feel to it…kind of like a stone fruit sort of taste. Interesting for sure and fun to try out! Thanks again Cavocorax
