Again early planting from the late 1800s. Seeyok in the Mirik Valley to the South West were one of the first gardens to go organic and then Bio-Dynamic. They are another garden that use Bio-dynamic practice but do not pay the certification.
They have been fairly successful with white teas and wulongs but focus more on black. A typical Seeyok First Flush neat greenish dry leaf with a light, bright, lively liquor, amber cup light herbal edge and lingering floral aftertaste.
Organic tea is produced without the input of chemical fertilizers or pesticides and herbicides. Unfortunately the yield per acre is lower and quite often quality can suffer compared to when fertilizers and others inputs are utilized. Nevertheless with good manufacturing techniques the cup characteristics can be maintained at a very high level – such is the case with this tea.
