Smoky yet flowery taste – brisk and bold! A dark brew – that is for sure!
A very nice tea to start your day or to help pick you up in the afternoon!

It leaves a crusty sort of aftertaste, too!

Smells like chocolate chip cookie dough in the bag. Steeps up pretty dark. Taste surprised me and is quite honey like, with flowery notes as well. Just a hint of mineral-esque notes on the finish. No harshness. I didn’t use any sweetener; I don’t think it needs any. Iced it tastes the same…I prefer it hot.

Made this English style with milk, and very strong on the leafing. It’s very smoky but also slightly floral in the aftertaste. Has a nice brisk bite of bitterness too. It’s the consummate breakfast tea, really— the kind of tea that you’d drink whilst preparing yourself for a busy or potentially stressful day. It’s reassuring and bracing and no-nonsense.
