From White2Tea

(from white2tea website)

Raw puer blend, stored in Guangzhou traditional (wet, humid) storage during the 1990’s, the specific production date is unclear. The cakes were moved to drier storage later in their life, and currently have only a light humid character. The original cakes have no wrapper or markings. Cakes will be shipped with a White2tea stamped wrapper as pictured. Cakes are mostly in badly damaged bamboo tongs. The lack of wrappers and tongs contributes to the very attractive price.

So im still learning about various different storage methods, this one an HK style. Its peaty & muddy. But with a slight spice & sweetness that creates an enjoyable brew. Ive been drinking this for two days now & its just very pleasant. Not much in the way of fruit or other flavours I associate with aged sheng, in fact there really isnt much in any direction really, quite a reserved taste overall.. Not mindblowing but just nicely enjoyable.

I think this is the first (or second) “wet” (or “traditional”) stored sheng that i ever tried.
The wet storage aroma is something i had to adapt to… i think the 5th steeping was a moment where i really forgot about it or let`s say rather began to like the whole flavor spectrum with this “wet store aroma” included as one essential part of it.
I really liked the effect the tea had on me on a psychological level.
This aged bookish taste… it made me really thoughtful and kind of serious. ;-)
I would only recommend this tea to people who want to find out about more “wet stored” teas… or are already familiar with them.
