From Whittard of Chelsea

Inspired by the famous Parisian confection, we’ve created a gloriously ornamental blend of green and black tea is adorned with curlicues of coconut chips, pieces of caramel and a handful of patissier’s sugared hazelnuts. Elaborate, perhaps. But with its creamy coconut freshness and vibrant edge of bright steamed Sencha, it’s all about being sweet but chic. Now, we know what we’d suggest as the ideal taste pairing. Pierre Hermé and Ladurée are masters of the macaron, so be sure to stop by whenever you’re in Paris – we’d recommend coconut and lime, or p43% Black Tea, 36% Green Tea, 8% Coconut Flakes, 6% Caramel Pieces (condensed skimmed milk, sugar, glucose syrup, butterfat (milk), humectant: E420, emulsifier: E471), 3% Brittle Pieces (sugar, hazelnut, invert sugar), Flavourings

Allergy Advice: Not suitable for people with other nut and peanut allergies. Perhaps matcha and chestnut.

One year ago I said I was going to quit hoarding this, and never drank it again. I have been working so hard on sipdowns! I had enough leaf left for about four cups of tea and used half of it this morning. This is way out of date but it is still SO GOOD. It doesn’t have that sharp metallic edge I get in some flavored teas.

This is warm, sweet, creamy, and delicious. I will probably not remove it from my cupboard because I think this may have achieved desert island list status.

This tea was a treat! While I don’t really understand the reasoning behind blending green and black tea (all I can taste is the black tea) the flavor combination in this one is delicious: lots of creamy coconut with a touch of caramel sweetness and just a whiff of hazelnut. The mouth feel is thick and rich and it’s delicious both with and without milk. I would definitely consider re-purchasing this one!

Smallest amount I could grab was a 40g tin. Will have to pitch the tin, sadly… but wow this is a lovely cup.

Smells sweet, tastes sweeter, thick and rich, creamy from the coconut, with a hint of green grassy to offset the fullness. I’m surprised by this, especially after the coconut from yesterday.

Too bad about the tin! I’m sure it was cute.
