Hi everybody! Has anybody ordered a yixing teapot from funalliance.com? These pots all look nice but does anybody know anything about their quality?

They do have the look of cheap factory made pots, not hand made pots but I could be wrong. Any time a Yixing pot is less than $60 or so it is usually factory made. This is not necessarily a bad thing just not as good as hand made by a potter.

An added thought, I don’t see if they accept PayPal. If they do your covered in case they don’t ship. If they don’t I personally would avoid the site. There are better sites for Yixing Teapots although you may pay a little more. I would personally recommend Yunnan Sourcing and the EBay seller Missteapots.

Allank,
I just found out that somebody is getting me this set as a gift. Do you think this is worth investing time and effort into, or should I look to return it/buy a new one

Teavivre is a reliable source of tea and teaware. The ten cups are probably not particularly useful but the pot should be a decent enough introductory pot. I’m sure it was mass produced not made by an individual artisan but I like Teavivre. I’ve got a very nice pot from them that cost a bit more than that set.
