Your own personally pressed raw puer w/ custom neifei

As part of a pre-order for our 2016 Spring Yiwu pressing, we’re offering the chance to have you own custom neifei pressed directly into the cake.

This is your chance to have whatever you want on a neifei, whether it’s for your own enjoyment or as part of a gift. Ideal occasions include – wedding, anniversary, proposal, birthday, cat’s birthday, Christmas, birth of a child, winning a spelling bee, etc… You know, the normal gift giving occasions.

Full details here: http://www.bitterleafteas.com/product/2016-spring-year-monkey-yiwu-raw-puer-pre-order/

We’ll be running this preorder up until the day before we press the tea. The maocha is already processed, but we have a few other stops before getting to Yiwu and will be pressing sometime around or after April 20th. Cakes will ship out in the first week of May, and if any other tea is purchased between now and the shipping date, we’ll combine the orders to qualify everything for free shipping and refund the difference if possible.

In the meantime, we also have 12 new teas and quite a bit of new teaware available: http://www.bitterleafteas.com/shop/

If anyone has any questions or if anything isn’t clear, please feel free to ask!

Why is the monkey smoking?
edit never mind… got a dosage of open vagina and monkeys smoking in the artist’s page… I won’t question it :/

@LP, the artist might be doing a modern day riff on Sheela Na Gig, an ancient fertility symbol. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheela_na_gig

You think humans are the only ones that can smoke puer? guess again!

But yeah, smoking monkey was one of the more PG choices, obviously.

OMG, ancient fertility symbol? FFS, all this time I thought Sheela Na Gig was some random woman that PJ Harvey met in a bar or whatever and wrote a song about her. I feel stupid now.

curlygc, you have no reason to feel stupid. I have a Masters in art and art history, lived in the UK and had an English girlfriend for many years. I am also a nerd in many ways. Betcha $5 you know way more about tea than I ever will!

I like this idea but I don’t know if I can come up with something to fill a neifei.

Doesn’t have to be much, but it’s up to you!

My cat’s birthday was last month though :(

Bitterleaf said

That’s alright, cats don’t seem to care about puer cakes anyway. Rolled puer balls on the other hand… and teaware that is left on the tea table over night. The more expensive, the more “fun”, apparently.

This is why you write on the neifei:

“I was thinking of you 11 months ago. Squirrel!”

Luckily for me my cat would not go on top of my tea table to break any teaware. She was a good cat to have around teaware as she never broke any. Now in my new apartment I can’t have pets.

This sounds so awesome! Too bad I won’t be able to afford an entire cake for a few more years, lol.

we can always just slip a neifei into a sample bag after the fact and pretend it’s a cake ;)

FYI this pre-order is being extended to around April 24th, as we’ll be pressing this tea on the 25th.

We’ve been drinking more of this maocha in Yiwu and it feels even better than what we previously had in Kunming. This tea punches well above its weight, especially for a sub $0.10/g tea.

What one wants to do with a bing in the privacy of their own home is between them, their tea, and their puer pick.

I quite literally expelled some tea from my mouth when I just read this. Hilarious.

In for one, the price is low enough that the tea can be okay while my image is awesome.

Bitterleaf said

While it’s not some impossibly old ancient tree from the most famous village in Yiwu, it’s still an extremely solid tea for the price. The image you sent, however… Fit for the finest LBZ. We’ll do our best to live up to it.

Just don’t show it to the children.
