The Shark tea infuser...

I saw a tweet about the Shark tea infuser a while back and I’ve been on the lookout for it online and in tea shops ever since. It’s a metal tea strainer with a shark fin top and it, apparently, floats in your cup ;-) Has anyone seen one for sale? If so, where?

That reminds me a bit of the Yellow Submarine tea infuser someone brought up some while ago. Aah, here it is: http://www.monkey-bus.co.il/Product.aspx?CategoryID=8&SubCategoryID=0&ProductID=225

I googled the shark infuser, and I am amused. Although it looks a little small. But I want to watch it float around my cup!

There are so many websites reviewing the art aspect of it, but none of them link to a place that SELLS them. In fact, all of them use the exact same photos (on that note, you have to wonder what the HECK is coming out of the infuser, because that is NOT tea and, quite frankly, looks photoshopped—especially since there doesn’t appear to be anything actually in the infuser). And all of them have huuuuge strings of comments of JUST people asking where to buy them, and the blog-posters aren’t even kind enough to reply (or probably don’t know, because they just took it from ANOTHER blog).

Wow. That’s just frustrating.

I wonder if it’s actually ever going to be released as a product, or if it was just an art tea infuser developed to win the competition (a few blogs mention that it won an art contest), and will not actually to be sold. Which would be sad.

No, don’t say that… I really want one, but I do fear that they will never actually be produced and sold. I, too, would buy it just to watch it float in my cup. Love the yellow submarine infuser, too, by the way :D

I likes the shark infuser! I’ve noticed black tea tend to get denser at the bottom of the cup, so it’s really nice to have a floating infuser. Besides, it will be easy to get it out without string or tongs. I couldn’t find where to buy it either!

LOL, I saw this a couple months ago on the Tea For Two lj comm. My problem would be that it doesn’t look very big – would the leaves have enough room to expand properly?
