Loved the smell of this in the store, so I thought I’d give it a try.
So far I really enjoy it. The grenadine and vanilla blend well together, but it still has a tea taste to it.
An excellent spur of the moment purchase!

I made a huge mug of this to drink while doing my writing project at work today. I got one of the big pieces of citrus, so this cup was particularly on the citrus-heavy side, which was just fine.
Later, when I wanted cold water, I poured it right into the same mug to mix a bit with the tea that was leftover and has some yummy water to drink as well.

Almost ridiculously sweet, I can’t say I loved this cup. Did I like it? Debatable. It was drinkable, and I drank it, so that has to mean something, yes?
At one point, I found myself thinking ‘It tastes like juice warmed up.’ Which, pro or con, I’m not entirely sure.
I got a sample of this, hoping to find a cheaper alternative to Teavana’s Earl Grey Creme. It’s def. not a replacement, but it does stand on its own as a great morning tea.
There isn’t the same level of creaminess I get from Teavana’s Earl Grey Creme, but (and I’m totally guessing here) there does seem to be a smoother bergamont flavor (I’m assuming that what I’m tasting is the bergamont anyway. Still learning!) than straight Earl Grey’s – which I like.
So, not a substitute (still looking, might just have to cave to The Man), but a tea worth drinking of its own accord!
I really enjoyed this blend. When I went to the shop, I knew they had loose Twinings tea and was hoping to find Lady Grey – but that was sold out. So, on a whim, I snatched up Prince of Wales because it was on the lighter side. (I’m still easing my way into strong black teas.)
I found this to be so yummy! I added a bit of rock sugar to sweeten things up a bit and really, really enjoyed this. I could see drinking this one on a very regular basis.
I made a super weak brew of this tea last night because I wanted to get a taste for it before I made a stronger version of it. I really, really liked it. A great note of grapes and sweetness that really tasted delicious in the cold of night! I can’t wait to try a strong version of this.
First brew: completely got distracted by impending storm and let it overbrew. Super bitter. Sad.
Second brew: so, so much better. Tiniest floral taste, and a touch sweet. I think next time a bit of sugar will make this tea absolutely delish!
This tea smells like heaven when you open the bag. The taste wasn’t quite as creamy as I would have liked, but good none-the-less.

Fruity and delicious. A great evening drink – soothing!
I was originally going to drink something different this morning, but after freezing on the walk into work and realizing I had already forgotten to do a million little things, I decided I needed to have my go-to, caffeine-filled earl grey creme again.
Added a bit of sugar today to sweeten things up a bit.
Floral notes to this soothing tea. I did a steep and dump to make it decaffeinated and it was perfect right before bed.

Forgot to bring in sugar today. Freezing. Therefore, time for the great, doesn’t-need-sugar standby, Zen by Tazo.
Love. (Although I wish it had a touch more caffeine in it.)
Just upped the rating on this after discovering adding sugar makes it so tasty! Excellent way to start the cold morning.
Tried today and it wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t my favorite. Plain Earl Grey always leaves my mouth a bit fuzzy, so about half way through I start to not like it.
For the first time I put non-fat milk in my tea (just a splash) and I really couldn’t taste too much of a difference. Will have to keep playing with that in the future I suppose.
I loved the vanilla scent and taste from this tea, but – and this surprised me – I think next time I want to try it with a bit of sugar in it to sweeten things up a tad.
To be perfectly honest, I’m not even sure this is the right tea. I found it at a local cafe that had made up little samples of loose tea for stocking stuffers. All it came with was a label for “Rose Congou.” I looked up teas companies that the store carried and this one was the only that matched.
Onto the tasting note…
I have finally figured out what a “floral” note means. And this did smell like roses. I thought that was going to be a problem, but on the whole, it was actually good. The black tea seemed to be lighter with the rose in it. I’m tempted to try it with some sugar on the next cup.
All in all, pretty good for a mystery sample!
This brew is much more citrus-y than the last one, but still delish.
I put a bit of sugar in to sweeten it out just a tad.
From yesterday. Had a crazy morning and went to Zen, one of my fave teas of all time.
Used this to help get me through the morning drive.
I love drinking it in my clear tumbler. The little cornflowers bouncing up and down in the water are so pretty.
