Maybe I don’t like honeybush as much as I used to because all of the ones I’ve tried lately have seemed really wood-y flavor wise. Or do they get more woody with time? All of my honeybush teas are pretty old, which is why I’m trying to go through them. Either way, I was not loving this like I hoped I would.

This makes an awesome iced tea, especially with a little bit of lehua honey. Shared a bunch with some friends today and got rave reviews. The banana and peach flavors really come through. This is one of the teas that I plan to always have on hand.

Honeybush Mango from Adagio Teas

This is decent, although it’s pretty much woody honeybush with the merest hint of a mango half-remembered. I can’t decide if it’s better hot or iced, but maybe hot because cold and woody is kind of a weird flavor. A little bit of honey takes the edge off of the woodiness, and if I made it again I might steep it for less time. I’m also tempted to try tossing in a few chunks of actual dried mango.

Blackberry Mojito from Teavana

I made this hot and it was a tad disappointing. Something about the warm fruit was a little off-putting and I wasn’t getting much of a tea-flavor. I’ll have to try again and vary the steeping time/water temp because it smells so good that I know it can taste better than this first attempt.

Masala Chai from Adagio Teas

This is my kind of chai. Not too spicy, not too weak. I love it with milk and honey.

Rooibos Vanilla from Adagio Teas
72

This is always a good caffeine free staple. It’s sweet, simple, and comforting.

English Breakfast from Adagio Teas
26

There was too much of a bitter dirt-taste with this one for me. Next to Adagio’s Irish Breakfast, it’s just bleh.

Bolero from Adagio Teas
69

I think I put a little too much milk in, but this was good. Has a sweet smell and would probably make a great breakfast option
