From Teabox

Nepal first offering of this season – a classic Nepalese first flush not to be missed. Kanyam is a garden located in the Ilam area of Nepal known as the tea valley in the east producing some of the best teas. This tea selected by our tasters is a classic Nepalese spring (first flush) tea similar to Darjeeling spring teas. Slightly rounder cup that leaves an after taste with a slightly strength felt at the tip of the tounge, it ends with a strong finish. Strong hazlenut notes found mixed with almond. A tea not to be missed.

Dry leaf is light in colour and slight vegetal smelling. Steeped for 3 min, this has the pungent, spicy notes of a Darjeeling. Slightly drying part way through the cup. Tangy on the finish.

Pleasant but not a stand out.

Okay, actually, by the bottom of the cup, super astringent. Like, go brush your teeth and rinse with lots of water kind of dry mouth coating feel.
