From Trader Nicks Tea Company

Star Wars droid tea blend that tastes of bright circuit citrus and fruity black tea. Brews a very fitting golden color with a base of Darjeeling black tea.

Tasting Notes: mandarin | orange | bergamot

Your friendly protocol droid knows his way around a tea leaf! Of course he prefers the standard proper protocol of an English favorite, Darjeeling black tea. So we created this tea with a Darjeeling base to represent the sophiscated software. And to bring in some of the chaotic and sometimes broken gold hardware, we blended the black tea with broken orange fruit pieces.

The resulting droid tea blend tastes of bright circuit citrus and fruity black tea. Brews a very fitting golden color. Makes a perfectly light and refreshing afternoon tea blend.

Ingredients: Darjeeling black tea, apple pieces, acidified apple pieces, carrot flakes, calendula blossoms, natural flavor, rose hip peel, orange peel, mandarin sections, sweet blackberry leaves, lemon grass, safflower, rose petals

Single teabag.

This came out very weak, which honestly doesn’t surprise me since it seems to be Darjeeling mixed with an orange fruit infusion. Fruit infusions tend to require a lot more volume per cup, which I don’t think they accounted for in the sample size. And since it’s a blend, there’s not enough Darjeeling either.

I do taste a bit of the Darjeeling, and then the orange part is very artificial and tangy, similar to Tang or Emergen-C powder. I’m not sure they go together, but it’s difficult to tell since the overall flavor is so light.
