160 Tasting Notes
I think this would be amazing iced. It is super sweet, fruity, and tart. I wish they would call it Raspberry Lemonade Mate, just because the combination of Raspberry and Lemon didn’t occur to me like that when I bought it :p.
It has a great energy boost, so I feel it would make a fabulous summer pick me up without having to drink something hot. I probably will hold off on buying it again until the weather warms up (which is for like 3 days in July here in Vermont), but all in all I would say it’s a good tea. I drink it now when I need a refreshing taste but don’t have a seltzer with me.
Sweet fruity tea lovers, here it is!
Love it. Sweet, nutty, spicy, fresh, with an energy boost! After My Morning Mate, this is my favorite mate from Teavana. With Teavana’s prices being a bit steep, this isn’t something that I would probably repurchase but it was good to have a couple ounces of it to try out.
If you’re a big chai fan or you like spicy teas, this is great for you. I learn more towards savory chocolately teas, but this is decent nonetheless.
This tea is my joy. I will always regret spending so much at Teavana, but I’ll just refer to the flavors for the sake of the review.
I LOVE the chili peppers. You can’t taste them in the tea but you can feel them when you drink it. The strawberry makes it sweet and tangy, the chocolate makes it warm and decadent, and the chili gives it an unexpected kick. I love ending my day with a pot of this tea, I don’t worry about my caffeine intake and it feels as indulgent as a cocktail for me.
This mixes well with literally everything. It’s fabulous on its own but is also great with my Adagio Chocolate and Hazelnut teas. I think this is just a good all around base for flavored teas and it cuts down on the caffeine in your cup if that’s something you’re looking for.
I just ordered a bunch of flavored teas from Adagio and I think I will be mixing them with this a ton. It’s about $4.80 per 2oz, which is good for Teavana but I think I can find it cheaper elsewhere for the same quality or better.
If you’re a Teavana fan, put this in your cupboard, you’ll use it!
This tea is ok. The sales associate recommended it with honeybush vanilla and I wasn’t impressed by the blend. I prefer the White Ayurvedic Chai on its own. I do like that a white tea is hydrating and can be resteeped, which are probably the greatest qualities of this tea.
It’s a strong spice, which I like. I prefer more flavor in my teas. It’s an easy tea to drink, I don’t find myself reaching for it often but when I feel the need for some healthy hydrating detox (esp in a hot bath!!) I do enjoy it.
In my attempt to get into green tea more I picked this up from a small locally owned tea shop. I’m a huge peppermint herbal tea fan so I went for it.
It’s very classic tasting, a nice strong full flavored peppermint, the kind you can feel after you sip. It’s balanced nicely with the sweet, crisp, bitterness of a typical green tea. As I continue to branch out into more green teas, I’m sure I will come back to this one to recenter my search!
Not a fan of this tea, I’m bummed I bought like 4 oz of it. I like a calming chamomile, mint, lavendar type of tea before bed and the sales associates at Teavana said this is the ultimate relaxing tea. I find it to have a VERY light flavor, I barely even taste it. I cannot tell from drinking it what herbs are in it.
I absolutely adore Moonbeams and Lavendar from Vermont Liberty Tea Company and I feel that Tranquil Dream is the Teavana equivalent. I would not recommend this tea unless you prefer little flavor before bed. For instance if you want something warm but having too much flavor in your palate before bed isn’t good for you.
If you’re looking for a LIGHTLY flavored bedtime tea, or you love Sleepy Time, I’m more than willing to swap.
When I was younger my mom and I had a tradition on Friday nights. We would make tea in our fancy teapots, buy small cookies, and put everyone on nice plates while we watched our favorite show, Providence. For years after the show was cancelled we were still looking for the tea we drank during that time, it was a sweet, spicy cinnamon flavor that tasted even spicier with sugar.
I found it! I have tried so many cinnamon teas to get to this one. This tea is incredible, you do not need any sugar to taste the sweetness of it. It’s rich and warm, perfect for cold days and a little jolt of caffeine.
I especially look forward to drinking it with my mom when I go home for Thanksgiving to relive our memories :)
I know mate is a love it or hate it kind of drink, but I LOVE it. I switched completely from coffee to tea recently and the guy at Teavana recommended this one. I’ve shyed away from Teavana for other brands lately but My Morning Mate is one I will not ever give up.
It has the nutty rich flavoring that coffee has but without the acidity or jitters. It can be brewed light or strong (I like it strong) and it takes milk well too. This tea is my ultimate wake up effort, and it never fails me. I have gone through over a pound of it and will continue to drink it.
I highly recommend this tea to coffee drinkers who want to switch or just mix it up.
