15756 Tasting Notes
sipdown! the last of this will be off to beelicious in our swap. I really still adore this tea. It’s just the right sort of chocolate tea for me – leaning towards dark versus milk and not being sweet. I just wish MF sold this loseleaf versus their overpriced tins.
today is a holiday in canada for a lot of folks…which means for us, cleaning the house, trying to get outside and using it as a day for the two of us to catch up on things we haven’t had time to work on. It also means being able to drink a few more teas. Today i needed something delicious to kick off my day so i opted for this one. I really need to see if anyone’s written about 2015 harvest since i’ll be running out of this one soon and need to decide on 2014 or the 2015. I think the rest of the day is going to be a little bit of more new teas and finishing up a couple for some sipdowns :)
Let me know if you find out! I got a 2014 Spring and I like it a lot so far, but I haven’t compared it to the others I have. I should do that soon. Or just order the 2015 and do a side-by-side comparison of several versions. :D
Figured i should try this one today so i can keep working on getting through all the teas in my cupboard at least once. I think i’m down to only about 34 teas that haven’t been tasted yet, so overall, i’m doing better than i was. Dry, this smells amazing. creamsicle, but more lemon creamy than orange creamsicle…i say that only because imo there is only one creamsicle and that’s orange lol. brewed up, the smell is a little more subdued but still has that creamy smell to it. The brewed cup? It’s not exactly my favourite, but i think there’s room to play with this. IE. with a little sweetness added, i think it would smooth out the edges of this that are a little jarring for me. I don’t really get “brioche” from this, which is how it’s described by MF., but it’s lovely nonetheless.
Sipdown! The last of this is off to beelicious for our swap. I wanted good tea today instead of the largely unknown because this past weekend was an overnight for work again. The only good thing from this weekend really was that it went off with relatively few issues AND i got awesome dinner out of it. Nothing says go team like a steak dinner after part 1 of a release. :) Enjoyed this tea, though i still love pure buds black more. That being said, there are very few offerings from mandala in the black tea realm that i dislike so it’s always a good time
backlogging some more lol
I think this is the last of my backlogged teas and one that i’m a fan of. I think the more i drink this, the happier i am with it. Just something really enjoyable about the chocolatey notes and the malt in this one.
Final Count:126

wooooeeeee! lots of vanilla in this one. I think i need to do a vanilla comparison sometime in the near future to figure out which of the vanilla teas i have in my cupboard i currently love the most. This one was tasty…that’s really all i remember at the moment lol
Ooh, yes! This is a new favorite of mine!
