8960 Tasting Notes
Very nearly done this one as well. Not too shabby…i think my oldest tea in the cupboard is July? or something like that (ignoring the puerh) so that’s fantastic! Still enjoying this one, especially as it’s been crazy! It’s not omg crazy to die for or anything like that but it’s been tasty and enjoyable as a herbal.
SO many teas to drink, so little time. Supposed to be quiet today with all the American’s out for thanksgiving (Happy thanksgiving to all of you!!) but man it’s busy! Not getting much change at all today to drink tea hardly. Still enjoying this one…which is a good thing since i have exactly this tea that is straight and on the malty side of things. the only other 4? straight black have are of the fruitier variety. WHich would be fine if it wasn’t Black friday sale time haha. I can see myself splurging a little to restock my cupboard with some straight blacks!
puerh of the day for me today – more western brewing a few steeps versus gaiwan ’cause i wanted easy. Only one more of these left which is both sad and an accomplishment! Really trying to focus on my puerh…so much deliciousness in my cupboard is of the ripe variety…i barely have “normal” tea in comparison!
Still not sure how i feel about this one. It’s sort of like a black tea with hints of flavour hanging around in the background. I think it’s more flavourful when it’s hotter…as it cools it changes a little and seem more black tea than anything. I’ll try adding a bit of sugar next time to see if that helps (if i remember)
