15694 Tasting Notes
Alright…it’s oonlong afternoon for a little bit so that I can get through a few of the teas that i really need to at least try. Thanks again to Nature’s Tea leaf for this sample! I picked this one, not because I love oolongs (as most of you know by now, i dislike strongly) but because i figure someday i’ll find some amazing oolongs that rock my socks.
This tea? It’s not half bad for an oolong. It doesn’t have that overly vegetal taste that i can’t handle in oolongs, nor does the smell permeate my nose. Instead this is a bit darker, while not quite being a truly dark oolong. There is a sweetness, but it’s not overly strong. Overall a pretty decent oolong (high praise from me!)
mmmmm i really do love this tea. It’s maple, it’s pecan, it’s delicious! Very nearly at the bottom of my bag of this..yes it’s just a coincidence that stacy’s having a sale involving one of my fav straight blacks! I have a crazy amount of butiki teas in my house lol. I need to get drinking some of them asap! Anyway this tea? Still one of my happy teas from stacy. It may take a break from my cupboard over the summer but we’ll see. it’s pretty delicious…even as an oolong! :)
Another tea from my swap with Lala I am loving this one! I’m not getting the after taste that others did, beyond the taste of a slightly unripe pear in the after taste. The tea is a sweet, fruity tea with a pear taste that rolls through the sip.
So this is a white tea…with coconut. As i mentioned to Kittenna after looking again at the teas i swapped with Lala i think i was channelling my inner kittenna that day. Not that I’m not happy to try new teas but i think every tea i picked had coconut in it or a base i don’t typically prefer lol.
However! This tea? It’s quite nice. I think the vanilla helps to calm the coconut down so that it’s not jumping down my throat. It still wouldn’t be a cup that i’d have every day but it’s a pleasant cup.
Thank you so much to Lala for this swap! Loving it!
I am a fan of this honeybush! Having a cup of this tonight in an effort to drink up some of my close to being finished teas! 166 teas left to go! I’m stupidly aiming for getting down to 150 by next weekend before the girls and the tea shows up, but i’m betting that won’t happen. At least I know my cupboard is getting to a more manageable point :)
This tea is pretty nice as far as non black teas are concerned. I wouldn’t drink it every day but the flavours that are blending together here create a nice sweet, creamy tea that would be fantastic throughout the fall.
SIPDOWN! had this tasty little treat to finish off with dinner. Still not a fan of david’s tea but this one is alright by me. Nice to finally get through my 12 days of christmas teas…well except for the matcha from azzrian…can’t bring myself to open it yet hahaha
Sencha is great. Never had this particular one though :)
it was in my amoda tea box from one of the previous months lol
