Tea Advent Calendar – Day 15
So, to be honest, I wasn’t sure what flavor this tea was supposed to be until I looked at the description. I definitely get some creaminess and nuttiness, but nothing that’s coming across as distinctively banana. (Which is surprising, because AQTT usually does banana really well!) It was a pleasant enough blend, but not terribly distinctive for me.
Flavors: Cream, Nuts
Pretty big fan of this tea – a delicious take on a banana black, but it’s much richer and more appealing than most. The vanilla and nuttiness add a desserty aspect, and the base is quite flavourful but not astringent at all. I should have written this note as I was drinking it to capture some additional thoughts, but this is really quite good.
Another one from this morning while i look to weigh my cupboard and see how far behind on my sipdown goals i’m at. At least i’ve started working on my puerh a little more… it’s the bulk of my cupboard so i really need to. I’m growing tired of this one to be honest…i think the nut flavouring in here is interfering with my banana love that i want. Still tasty, just won’t need to restock this one after getting though the 1.5oz i have.
I made this as an iced latte with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle to enjoy while I worked on a research memo for work that I have been stressing over all week. I spoke to a former employee in my position regarding the assignment and she really helped me clear my head so finishing it went much smoother than the rest of the experience. Now I am debating sending it off to the lawyer now or waiting for the morning and giving it a once over after I sleep. As much as I’d like to do the former, my gut says give it the once over in the morning. So instead I am updating my tea journal and watching Scrubs while writing about this tea.
The banana smell was so awesome when I started scooping out the tea and I am super glad it is coming through in the latte as well. I figured caramel syrup would compliment the praline element of this and while it was a bit much at first, it’s really mixed in now making for an awesome liquid dessert. Banana is first and foremost but with a whole lot of vanilla as well. It’s like banana-vanilla ice cream with caramelized praline. It’s honestly so good!!! MMMMmmmmgood!!!!
