I do enjoy this tea very much, though it sort of makes me uncomfortable to be in a category described as sexy, passionate and intense, haha. And to describe a tea that way! It seems a bit odd to me to have something so sweet and calming as vanilla rooibos in a blend that is categorized as dark and robust. I might have subbed in lapsang souchong. But still, very delicious!

Sorry about my clumsy description; I’m a designer and descriptions/reviews are not my strong point. The new description for the new re-blended Zodiac teas are much better (written by a Scorpio person). You might also like the tea and book combo:

I totally forgot to mention on my review that the tin is so beautiful. You have a ton of talent!! I love the new description as well.

Rarrgh! The stupid internet ate the review I wrote. /grumbles/ Ah well.
I’ve had a taste for this tea for the past few days, and it’s just as I remember it. Though not as bitter or astringent as I remember, possibly because I used a cooler water temperature this time. Seems to have tempered it a bit, which is nice.
A good vanilla taste with a richness from the chocolate (I think), but mostly it’s vanilla. I don’t get any mango here which is good since I’ve found I’m allergic to any teas heavy in mango. So I just pick out the big chunks in this and I’m good.
Also the rooibos isn’t strong and I don’t get any of the minty taste I’ve come to associate with any rooibos teas I’ve drank recently. Possibly because it isn’t the main tea here and is mixed with a stronger black tea. Whatever is it, it’s just a nice addition and not overpowering.

Thanks to Shadowfall for letting me try this tea.
Scorpio is my zodiac. Scorpio is known to be “passionate & jealous”
Combined these two factors, I was so curious about this tea. Would it be really bitter? Would it be really sour? Just when I think of scorpio, it’s definitely not something sweet or smooth :)
When I brewed it, I smelled smooth, somewhat sweet scent of rooibos. I was surprised that they chose to use rooibos as base, but then, more surprised that it was vanilla flavored — When I drank it it was very smooth vanilla rooibos tea. Really? Scorpio & Vanilla? Just..unexpected combination.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked this tea. Just name did not work for me :)

I almost thought t try this tea myself (also Scorpio), but I’m not too fond of rooibos. I like some rooibos blends ok, but I had a vanilla rooibos before that was possibly the worst thing ever! I would have done this blend with a black tea and possibly some kind of spice and chocolate flavor. Something strong but unique. Maybe their reasoning for vanilla was that scorpio needs a tea that will calm the fire? oh well :)

This smells better than it tastes. When I take a whiff, it smells like delicious caramel chocolate goodness. In my mouth, it’s not that great. It’s sweet, which I love, but it has some sort of chemical aftertaste I can’t seem to get past. Next time I’ll try it with milk and sugar.

I enjoy this blend. It ha a strong black base with a slight hint of rooibos. The flavors seem to meld together into a flavor of their own. I don’t know how to really describe this one. Too much going on in my brain after a stressful workday to really tear it apart. Just trying to enjoy the relaxation a cuppa tea brings. Maybe green tea would have been a better choice for me right now.

In it’s defense this tea has probably been in the pass for some time and by the time I got it, it probably lost a lot of flavor and maybe took on the flavors of the other teas in the box. As a result, it was not good. Basically flavored water with all ingredients unidentifiable when tasting. I am sorry, but I probably need to taste a fresh batch.

Sorry you had a bad experience but something indeed must have gone wrong as one adjective I would use describing this tea is “intense” (regardless of if you like the taste or not)

I too am surprised by the flavor or lack there off. I have had Aries and I LOVE it. I intend to review it as well but want to drink it again so my tasting notes would be fresh. However, I think what happened here is that it was left in the pass too long. I will prepare it again and if necessary I will update my rating here. I too am sorry I couldn’t write something better.

inguna

Don’t worry about it :) People are entitled to their opinion. Also nobody likes everything anyway. Perhaps you can try to steep it longer?

This will not brew sweet (and I don’t add any) as the scent would lead you to expect but it is an enjoyable cup. A dark and heavy brew that reminds me a little of coffee with just a touch of chocolate.

inguna

“coffee with just a touch of chocolate” – I would agree with that. That’s is pretty accurate.

I love this blend! I never expected such an odd combination to be so delicious. The mango and chocolate go perfect together and the bled of black and rooibos is brilliant. A yummy dessert tea, but great any time.

The predominant flavor here is a combination of chocolate and tea, which makes a nice combo if you ask me. A touch of sugar bring up the flavorings.

I am not a fan of flavored teas and only tried it because I got a free sample. As far as flavored teas go, this one is not so bad, I can easily see how some would like it. I’d recommend it to people who like flavored teas. I suspect this will taste good iced and sweetened, but I never thought to try. If I get another free sample I might try it iced, but not something I’d buy.
