I bought this on Black Friday but haven’t had a chance to try it yet. My bad.

This is really amazing. I was just sipping away at it distractedly while looking for daycares and I was just hit – whammmo! – with a burst of fresh lime. Wow. So refreshing. I can still taste the chamomile and the overall effect is quite soothing. Like floating on a cloud before sleep. Or some such nonsense.

This one makes me sleep. Lol

Fjellrev

Oh man, I wish I could find a tea that helps me sleep. This sounds like it has potential.

Sil

chamomile makes me sleepy.. i liked the taste of this one as well..my finum brew baskets just didn’t like it

OMGsrsly

Brew chamomile in paper, Sil! Or those plastic mesh tea bags you can find in some Asian markets. I pre-fill and iron mine shut for ease of use. :)

Sil

yeah, i have a metal basket that i use for chamomile heh

Anna

Wait. No. Stop. What happenes to the basket? Does it get all clogged by little dusty chamomile parts?

OMGsrsly

Pretty much, Anna. I also find that a lot of little bits get through, which is why I prefer paper filters for chamomile.

Bumping the rating on this one since it’s growing on me :) It’s in my sipdown pile for the week and I may just need to pick up a bit more once it’s all gone. Even cold the flavours are nicely balanced. Not a hueg fan of chamomile blends, but since it’s nice to have at least one in the house, this will be my go too since it’s the best one i’ve found so far!

Kamyria

Don’t you just love when the tea grows on you? It’s like a friendship that blossoms over time…

Sil

agreed :) There are a few that have done that with me.

Backlog from last night.

Maybe it’s just me, but there seems to be more apple pieces in this blend than the last time I ordered. I thought this herbal couldn’t get any better. Please let there always be lots of fruit pieces in my cup.

My only complaint is that I always seem to run out too quickly. Very problematic when I want to drink this almost every evening. Instead, I end up partially hoarding it.

I didn’t shake my bag properly..the first few cups were all chamomile and the last few were all apple, heh.

Butiki Teas

CrowKettle-You might be right. We switched the recipe a little bit. We are now using dried apple rings that are free from any additives instead of the apple chunks and we also switched to raw organic Himalayan goji berries from the generic stuff.

Crowkettle

Good to know! I thought the apple pieces appeared larger than last time. I really like this switch.

I hope gravity hasn’t abandoned me and left my bag with all the chamomile at the bottom, even if I do like chamomile straight up. Regardless of the cause, I’ve enjoyed the chemistry in these recent cups. The flavour seems a little sweeter and juicier.

Butiki Teas

Glad you are enjoying the new version. I think it tastes fresher and fruitier, while still being very similar.

Big thanks to Stacy from Butiki Teas for providing this sample with my last order! I accidently let this one sit in my cupboard for a while. Shame on me. But it’s night time and I’m sleepy. This sounds like the perfect tea for right now!

The dry leaf aroma is really surprising to me. I expected it to smell like chamomile, but instead it smells like fruit. The brewed tea aroma has more of a chamomile fragrance to it. Wow. So this is what chamomile tastes like. Hmm, it’s tasty but I’m not sure it’s the flavor for me. I enjoyed the chance to try it though!

Ah…..so relaxing after a fun day of swimming and visiting! It might finally be spring here!
I like the citrus and chamomile pairing.
Note to self: please use a tea bag when infusing chamomile because it really messed up my Brewt steeper.

So excited that my Butiki order came! I spent all day outside in the 85 degree heat at a pretty sweet art fair, yet I still crave a hot bedtime tea. I really enjoy chamomile, and this is a really good one. I am not getting as much citrus as I expected. It’s cool though, pretty tasty anyway :)

oh, mine’s on the way! i can’t wait!

I haven’t yet actually tasted any chamomile on its own, so I’m not sure if I can discern it from the other tastes in this. But wow is this a calming drink! I’m drinking it before bed in order to wind down, and it seems entirely perfect for that.

The smell on both the loose tea and the brewed liquid never seemed terribly citrus-like to me, but on tasting it I can pick out more of the apple and lemon. This one seems to sometimes have that same delicious creaminess to it that I love in Butiki’s Cataloupe & Cream too.

Received a sample in my order from Butiki…

This is a great way to end a day of tea. I am ready to Citrus Dream off to slumberland. A delightful mix of chamomile blossoms and fruit. Not tart, not sweet, just soft and pleasant. I can’t taste much of the goji or lemon grass, they are very subtle. I am getting mostly apple and chamomile with a touch of orange. I happen to like chamomile but if you don’t I would of course avoid this. It’s like Sleepytime tea x 10 in terms of flavor and beauty. Very well done for an herbal – another winner from Butiki.

Alright, here we go! :) I’ve been needing to find an herbal tea I enjoy hot, since I’ve discovered recently that tea caffeine really does keep me awake, even if I don’t feel jittery or anything. Plus I wanted to try out a chamomile in loose form for the first time, plus I wanted free shipping on my Butiki order. So it all just made sense to try this! :)

Dry leaf, they look very pretty. Not gonna lie though, they don’t look terribly pretty after they’ve steeped… Something about the way the middle parts of the flowers go, it looks kinda … Hmm. Moving away from the infuser now…

The scent of the tea is pleasantly lemony, and sweet and ends with a flower finish. The taste adds more; a strong yet not overpowering apple flavor, and an almost mint like note? Perhaps the “mint” is the goji berries, as I honestly have no idea how those taste.

This herbal is very nice. It’s complex while still being delicate, sweet without being saccharine, and very flavorful. Absolutely no need to “wake” up the flavor with sugar at all! A very nice tisane. I’ll drink through my 1/2 ounce, and if I’m still enjoying this as much as I am now — I’m a bit weird when it comes to herbals — then I think I’ll order up some more!
