From DAVIDsTEA

Blended by angels, this is one enchanting tea. It’s a subtly sweet rooibos blend of orange peel, orange blossoms and currants, all kissed with vanilla bean creaminess. Grown among the clouds in heaven and harvested by cherubs, it tastes like a golden ray of sunshine. One sip and you’ll find yourself running along a beach at sunset, surrounded by turtle doves. Don’t believe us? Steep a cup for yourself and see where your imagination takes you.

Ingredients: Rooibos, currants, orange peel, orange blossoms, vanilla pieces, marigold blossoms, safflower petals, natural flavouring.

Price per 50g: $6.50

When I first smelled the dry tea, it was reminiscent of a super creamy dreamy creamsicle with a bubblegum undertone. It was very pleasant.

When I brought it home and I brewed it, the first and only flavor I got was bubblegum. There was absolutely no orange to it. I can taste some of the natural fruity rooibos flavors but the flavors were not orange. I was kind of disappointed because I wanted to try a creamsicle tea.

Overall it is very good because of the bubblegum flavor. However, the flavor is good for the first few sips. After the first few sips the flavor got very strong and it tasted very muddled in my mouth.

This reminds me of bubble gum which isn’t a bad thing but the last rooibos I had (rooibos de provence) had a similar tone. Still good! This one sold me by dry leaf scent and I’ll continue to drink the rest of my stash. Maybe I’ll try adding a bit of milk or something to this.

So, I’m pretty much a citrus freak and like teas with a strong citrus taste *and after smelling this it clearly had one) so I grabbed a sample and shortly after tasting it went back and bought a tin! It is a very nice creamy orange flavour and the rooibos is in the back (but not overpowering) making it just perfect. I sometimes add a little sugar because I find it just a tiny bit sour (almost non-existant) and if you’re in a funky mood, add some cream….makes it taste just like a creamsicle!

This tea just fantastic. When you open up the tin and smell it, it smells exactly like an orange creamcicle. The best part is that it tastes exactly how it smells. It has a very subtle sweetness to it and a really lovely creamy orange taste. If you ask me this tea is perfect for after dinner or just before bed. It’s not overly fruity so if you’re not fond of fruit teas you’ll probably still love this tea.

Day 88 of my 101 days of DAVIDsTEA challenge.

1.5 tsp in my tea-ball, brewed in-cup.

I have to say, this is pretty much what I wished Dreamsicle was. It…really does taste like a creamsicle, and it’s LOVELY for that. There was a slight metallic taste, but not enough to dampen the enjoyment of the tea, really. For the most part, it was just a very nice creamy orange flavour.

On an off-topic note, I also love the unicorn on the DAVIDsTEA page for it.

Oh my goodness delicious.

Tastes exactly like those hard candies that have yogurt and creamy orange flavor in them sans sweetness.

I’m pretty sure I could drink this every night,

This tea has the natural rooibos sweetness, with nice light notes of orange and vanilla. The notes are not overpowering you can still definitely taste the rooibos. All the flavours balance out perfectly. This tea is wonderful. I will definitely keep it stocked on my shelf.

Okay, this tastes like those creamy orange swirl gummy candies, only better.

I got this as a sample last time I was at a DAVIDsTEA. I’ve tried it plain, with clover honey, and with raw sugar. Tastewise, it’s nicely fruity. The Smell of the dry leaves is reminiscent of the artificial orange flavor used in cheap Candy. I don’t mind the taste of the tea, but it’s not tasty enough to re-purchase.

A very delicious, very mild tea. Tastes like vanilla rooibus with a light kiss of orange. Had a cup before bed last night, and it was a sweet send-off to dreamland. I’ll have to add more to this review when I have some during daylight hours, and can remember more about it.
