From DAVIDsTEA

With their soft green colour, naturally sweet taste and cool, juicy flesh, honeydew melons are basically made for spring. In fact, this delicately perfumed fruit has been a popular standby at spring picnics and dinner parties everywhere from the south of France to ancient Rome. So when we mixed luscious honeydew with tangy kiwi and a hint of papaya, we knew it was gonna be good. Light, fruity and totally satisfying, it’s a fresh new way to sweeten up your spring.

I like it.

After a few sleepless nights, I’ve decided to cut back on caffeine for a while to see if it helps. I used this as an excuse to visit David’s Tea in search of a new herbal to soothe my weary brain.

Overall, the spring collection seems promising. I’m a fan of fruity herbal teas, especially in iced form, so it’s right up my alley. On first sip, this one tastes strongly of apple, kiwi and honeydew. It’s light but very sweet.

I feel like I could happily drink this one now and then, especially during the summer, but it probably won’t become a staple. I look forward to trying it as a tea pop, though. I bet that’ll be fantastic.

Tea pop, now’s there’s something I hadn’t thought of! Thanks for the idea!

I hope cutting down on the caffeine will help. I know what you mean, though. It’s so hard to shut off the brain when trying to sleep.

My brain shuts down real easy. It’s my body that doesn’t like to :D

I broke into this month’s tea budget and went to check out the spring collection at davidstea. I picked up 25g of the nectarine one without trying it because it smelled so good (and I will probably break my no-caffeine rule with this yummy smelling tea lol) and I got a to-go cup of this for tonight because it’s herbal and smelled very tasty too. I can’t say how long it steeped, maybe 4-5 mins.

This tea is pretty good! It reminds me of my beloved honeydew melon from the spring collect a few years ago sans rooibos and caffeine. Yum! Not picking out specific fruit flavors tonight as I’m not paying enough attention, but it’s tasty enough and non caffeineated that I will probably pick up more of this. Happy this is in the collection!

Rather lovely iced. The melon is the strongest flavour but I’m also picking up a bit of a papaya note towards the end of the sip which I didn’t really notice when hot. This tea works well either hot or iced, depending on your mood.
