1 Tasting Note View all

“This is such an easy to drink tea. It’s technically a black tea, but I actually group it in with (and prepare it like) oolongs. It’s brisk without being bitter, and edges toward sweetness.” Read full tasting note

Description

Liza Hill is a sister estate to the famous Risheehat run by the famous Jayshree Group. We went there on one of our trips to the Darjeeling area. We had to go down through the steep fields of Risheehat and cross over a brook and back up a hill to Liza Hill. This is an extra special First Flush. The ‘clonal’ in the tea’s description refers to the predominance of ‘Chinese’ bushes used. That’s for a tippy tea that has more aromas than others.
