when i smell the dry leaves, it has a nice musty smell to it.

when i smell the wet leaves, it smells like a lovely black tee with lots of pepper smell.

when i taste the tea, it has the common black tea taste with lots of pepper flavor and some spicy flavor too

I get pepper notes as well with some teas. More in shou if I remember correctly.

Kirkoneill1988

i consider show to be earthy and sheng to be spicy with honey

mrmopar

I know about the sheng ’Spicy" notes as well. I think the first one I got in the aroma was the “Wild Monk” from Mandala. like inhaling some spicy hot sauce in the aroma.

Kirkoneill1988

did it burn your nostrils?

mrmopar

not really burn but the steam from the Gaiwan kind of put me back a step. Have you tried the wild monk yet?

Kirkoneill1988

no i have not :(
