This tea is just straight-up jasmine blossoms. The owner of the tea shop said that he often blends it with other teas, but hadn’t tried it alone. It makes a lovely, fragrant cup that has a light flavour. Perfect before bed.

More today! I’m feeling super crummy, but had to come in so some stuff didn’t die (yay science?). So tulsi tea to the rescue.

I’m just waiting for some stuff to warm up, and then I’m going to do my thang and go home to bed.

Headaches + lack of sleep + painkillers = upset tummy.

I was going to have another tea-nog latte, but I think I’ve reached my dairy quota for the day. Instead I reached for this tea.

Always good. Always. Fruity, delicious, sweet, a little spicy from the tulsi. Yum!

Didn’t make it to Victoria due to not feeling so great.

Instead, I’ve spent most of the day puttering around my house. After sleeping over 12 hours last night (and still getting up at 7!). And now I am tired and done.

So this tea, another favourite tea, is making an appearance. Tulsi is so relaxing, and I love it in this fruity blend. Yum yum yum. It’s mostly apple, but there’s a bunch of other stuff in there too, and yep. I like it lots.

If you’re not so sure about tulsi, in my mind it blends well with a very fruity tea. I think it’d work well with Redberry Tonic as well, actually. And I have some plain Tulsi bags that I could use to test that out.

Hmm…

Aww no, I hope you feel better soon. :(

Thanks. It was just a combination of things. One of which would have been fine, but all together = I’ve slept SO MUCH this weekend.

I had a bit of a disaster when I reached for the tin. headdesk I think I thought the lid was taped on because I hadn’t removed the tape? IDK. Thankfully most of the tea was saved, as I had just cleaned and dried the counter, and was also leaning against it. There might be a little more cat fur in the tea, but that’s OK. I’m the only one who drinks this one. :)

So, thank you so much Bear With Me! I love this one, and it’s one of those seriously expanding teas since the tin is still almost full!

Sad sad sipdown. I love this tea. It’s so relaxing and soothing for me.

Tulsi and fruit go so well together. I really like it with papaya and apples here. I also like it mixed with berry teas.

It steeps up murky and scary looking. I recommend a dark mug. It smells spicy and peppery and fruity.

Definitely a tea I need to get more of. Need. :)

Need chill calming tea. And cat cuddles. And that calming cat gif that floats around tumblr, geez.

That exam. All I can do is shake my head. I messed up some simple stuff and got some really complicated stuff. Fingers crossed!!

This was a good tea to bring with me. No caffeine, which kinda sucks as I’ve only had a couple sips of my caffeinated tea today, but delicious and relaxing. :)

I’m making another cup of this one when I get home.

My BFF came over for dinner before, err, swimming (yeah, we’ll call it swimming) tonight, and I made us this tea.

I’ve found it works best if you let it steep with a lid. If you don’t, the delicious licoricey basily spicy clovey taste of the tulsi (don’t worry, licorice haters, it’s not like licorice root!) disappears.

We both enjoyed a cup of this. I think I need more. Maybe even a tin! I haven’t found a tulsi tea without licorice and/or mint at a local shop yet…

Next time you come to town I’ll be sure to take you back to Georgie’s :)

I do believe, though, that the Tulsi blends are Tea Affaire and most of the others that Georgie’s stocks are Metropolitan Tea Company. Just fyi :)

OMGsrsly

I found the other teas on the Metropolitan site, but I didn’t know about Tea Affaire. Thanks!!

Bear With Me

No problem! i just picked up 2 different tulsi blends when I took Heather out there, and both were Tea Affaire (though my two were boxes from the shelf below the stuff you got, so might be different, and I don’t have my tin of “stress relief” tulsi mix handy to look, but I know it was the same shelf as yours :) )

OMGsrsly

Yep yep, it’s Tea Affaire! I found it at the Banff Tea Company as well, but it’s $16 for 100g plus shipping. So I emailed Tea Affaire to find out if there’s a retailer in Vancouver.

OMGsrsly

Haha. Yes, I’d found the website. :) I added it to their steepster listing!

OMGsrsly

Or maybe I didn’t add them to Steepster. So confused.

Drinking this one cold, as I brewed it up last night before bed yet didn’t manage to drink much at all.

Idk what is up with me. Yesterday I slept 12 hours through, today I slept 6 hours very interrupted. I’ve been laying here, playing games on my phone and sipping tea for almost an hour now.

This tea is so good. I love the fruity flavours mixed in with the almost-minty flavour of the tulsi. I just need to remember to mix this one up well, as the fruit floats to the top and the tulsi pieces settle at the bottom. A good tea to fell asleep with AND wake up to. :)

Had this one on the ferry home last night. It essentially tastes like a tulsi and apple tea. About 1 tsp in 12 oz boiling ferry water, just left in the mug. Even this morning it tasted good cold.

Wow, I’m so tired. I think I used up all my energy organizing my cupboard and putting away samples. Now it’s time to put away the teas I bought, and all I want to do is nap! Oops. :)

Maybe it’s time for something a little more caffeinated.

Boiling 8 min or more
