This last cup isn’t as good as it used to be since it’s been sitting in my cupboard for a while and lost some of its flavor, but it’s still strong enough to remind me of how very good it was. I’ve had other pear teas that weren’t particularly pear-like at all, but this one has a very nice pear flavor without the overly fruity Celestial Seasonings sort of experience. Must buy more.

The dry tea has a bit of a seaweed smell, which depending on your perspective could be good or bad. When brewed the aroma backs off to grassy, and it tastes slightly vegetal but not overwhelmingly so. When we sampled this in the shop the owner resteeped it a couple times, and the resteeped cups had a similarly pleasant but milder flavor.

Despite the fact that I’ve liked all the oolongs I’ve tried, I haven’t bought very many yet. This tea makes me want to go out and get lots of different kinds to compare.

Big fan of this one. The rose petals give it a little something extra without being overwhelming and perfumey. Nice with a spoonful of honey or raw sugar.

Exquisite Darjeeling from Tata Tea

I bought a big box of this at an Indian grocery for cheap and it turned out to be pretty decent. Straightforward black tea that’s not too bitter. It works great for iced tea as well. I just finally finished off my box and will have to see what brands they carry at the Indian grocery in my new neighborhood.

Ginger Pear Oolong from Remedy Teas

Shared a pot of this with Beth at Remedy Teas today. I found that the flavors weren’t very strong and I couldn’t detect the pear at all. The pear oolong at T in Vancouver has a much more pronounced pear flavor which I prefer.

Noticeable but not overwhelming or artificial lychee flavor. Fruity without feeling like you’re drinking something that should not be in tea.

A nice decaf tea for when the evening is winding down. The peppermint flavor is quite nice. The vanilla flavor’s a bit strong, so I’m tempted to seek out something that’s just peppermint for comparison.

Apple Cinnamon from Stash Tea Company

Yet another of my apple teas. A little bit bitter, but not too bitter. Definitely has quite a bit of hibiscus, which is probably contributing some of that bitterness. It’s caffeine free so I can drink it at night even when I want to sleep soon. Not the best apple tea in the universe, but not bad.
