They had this one on sample, iced-style and I found it quite bitter. Got some anyway because it’s really hard to say no to tea at 75% off. I like it. It’s got a lighter cherry flavor than the Amaretto Cherry I tried last night, not quite as bold. Done up my usual milk-and-sugar style, it’s quite nice. Sort of reminds me of a cherry candy, actually.

Unf. This one is good. I bought this one as a little sampler pack for $1 at the Metrotown Teaopia. The smell of cherry is very strong from the moment you open the package, and it’s just as strong brewed as a tea.
Overall the flavor is bold. I’d almost compare it to coffee (which I don’t drink) in that it tastes as strong as it smells. Not sure if I’ll be picking up a little more of this (also not sure if I can since Teaopia is converting to Teavana) but not a bad tea at all.

I purchased a sample of this one from Teaopia in Metrotown for $1. Unfortunately my local Teaopia doesn’t carry these little sample packs because it’s perfect to just try things before you buy them!
It tastes a little like cotton candy, which was an unexpected but not unwelcome flavor.
This was the tea that – for me – started it all. I first tried this at a party held in UTM’s tea salon, selecting it from their vast tea menu after much deliberation. I am not sorry I did. It has a smooth caramel taste that is an absolute delight. I brought some home to enjoy, and now I am hopelessly addicted to loose leaf tea.
I think I was expecting a little more chocolate flavor out of this one, but it’s not bad. Superior to the Bourbon Vanilla, but not as good as Mudslide or my straight Caramel from Urban Tea Merchant.
So good. This oolong blend is one of my favorites. Prepared with milk and sugar (as is typical with my teas) this tastes exactly like an apple pie. It’s eerie.
This is the first white tea I’ve tried, purchased both because I liked the pear-smell and because it was 75% off. As far as taste goes, the pear is subtle and seems to be easily overwhelmed. I think my water temperature might’ve been a little too high, as there is a slightly bitter finish.
Prepared as usual with a splash of milk and some sugar.
Definitely in my top 5 favorite teas so far, if not THE top.
I love the slightly orange flavor (I guess this is the bergamont?) and the smoothness. I usually prepare this with a little milk and sugar but I would like to try it iced one of these days.
After falling in love with loose tea at The Urban Tea Merchant, I decided to check out Teaopia for more affordable tea. The clerk suggested this one when I mentioned that I’d had UTM’s Caramel tea and liked it.
I am sadly not as large a fan of this one as I expected to be. The flavor is sort of a bland-ish vanilla.
I really like chocolate. And I really like bananas. If you like the combination of these two things, then you’ll definitely like Mudslide.
I usually prepare it with a little sugar and milk, but that’s actually how I like all my tea. I definitely recommend this one though.
One of my favorite teas. It sort of reminds me of a lemony candy, which is really nice.
