37 Tasting Notes
One of my long-awaited mini-tins!
I tried this one first because I know it’s my friend Joyce’s favorite. Or at least it seems to be. I brought it in to work to share with my co-workers. _
I wasn’t sure how much to add or how long to steep since there wasn’t any instructions on the mini-tins. I figured it was the standard 1tsp, 3-4 min of blacks. Wound up steeping a bit longer because it was a busy day! (Also got a few resteeps out of it. Yay!)
The flavor is a nice bergamont-yness with a hint of spice and citrus notes. It was just as good after it’d cooled off as it was hot.
Was not entirely impressed by this one, and I doubt it’ll be on my re-buy list the next time I pop up to DavidsTea. The creaminess (enhanced by my usual sugar + milk, no doubt) was a little too… something. Nothing good. :\
Deliciously maple-y. This one would be one of my top picks to curl up with on the couch while reading a good book. Smooth and familiar, like a batch of waffles on a snowy Sunday morning. Totally a tea for Fall.
Well I tried a tiny bit of this in the bottom of my cup before adding anything… and the face I made is akin to the one I make when I drink V8. Not good.
But adding my usual milk + sugar definitely improved the taste for me. It’s got nice caramel overtones with a slight salty hint at the end, despite the sugar I added. An affordable alternative to my Urban Tea Merchant Caramel.
Roommate Stash Raid!
I like the flavor of this one! Sorta reminds me of (oddly enough) those orange slice gummy candies I used to eat all the time. It’s quite nice.
Made this as a pot of tea for my best friend and I, to lure him into the world of loose leaf tea. He loved it, so I bought him a tea starter set and a tin of this one.
Bouuuught some. Still teh epic. Made a pot of this for the Roommate and I to enjoy.
Another from the Roommate’s tea stash! This one was quite nice. A smooth mango-y flavor. I added sugar and milk as per usual.
Finally got moved into my new place and – awesomely – my new roommate LOVES tea! So I get to sample from his collection for the next little while!
This one is quite nice and a definite reminder why Earl Grey is one of my favorite teas. The fruitiness is quite nice.
