Cucumber Fusion

Green Oolong Blend by 52teas

This week, we have a fusion of premium green teas and oolongs blended with freeze-dried cucumber bits and natural cucumber flavor. A real refreshing taste of spring. These “savory” teas have been going really fast, so don’t miss out on this one. When it’s gone, it’s GONE.

This really does taste like spring. It has a fresh, crisp taste to it. It’s very cool and refreshing to sip, even when it’s hot. It will be delish iced, I’m sure!

I am sipping this iced today – I brewed a half-gallon of it last night for today. It is so much better iced than it is hot. So much so that I decided to increase my rating of this slightly.

Very refreshing, light, with a wonderful savory flavor. Love it.

Revisiting this one… Beautifully serene. It is fresh and crisp and light. Very refreshing. I’ve already brewed my iced tea for tomorrow, so I will brew some of this tomorrow night for Monday! Looking forward to that!

Hmmm, this is an odd, but good tea. It’s comforting, very smooth, VERY refreshing and the flavours mesh together nicely. At first I wasn’t sure, about the cucumber part, but I think it comes out more as it cools. Also, I tried a few teaspoons in a separate cup with a few drops of milk, which really brought the cucumber out- almost like it activated my taste sensors. Now that I am back to drinking it plain(I did add half a teaspoon of sugar though) I am getting a strong “cucumber” essence. In fact, it’s so refreshing that it leaves a hint of burning freshness as an aftertaste. Not quite spicy but somewhere between spicy and thirst-quenched.
This would be interesting iced I think… more than most(I’m not a huge fan of iced tea, but this one piques my interest). I think I’ll try it that way next- one more serving left!
Thankyou for the experience PoliticalMachine!! This was most satisfying! :)

This is wonderful tea. Smooth and refreshing. I never imagined I’d be drinking cucumber tea,but I am, and I’m liking it very much.

Tip o’ the hat to Mr. Wonka of the tea world (as he’s been so aptly called) for yet another odd, yet delicious blend. :)

Made a big batch of this iced. I had to try a cucumber flavoured tea at some point as i love the muddled cucumber martinis and such. Now when I opened my bag of this stuff, a whiff of the smell was very… compelling. I’ll fully admit this doesn’t smell like a cucumber.. well I mean… cucumbers don’t taste like much except fresh tasting. So the smell was rather strong and that lead me to be kinda concerned. So if it doesn’t taste like cucumbers, what does it taste like then you might ask? I haven’t the slightest clue but the fact is that it is drinkable. It was refreshing enough for me to drink down my cup fairly quickly.

Good thing the flavors don’t steep too intensely but are still very noticeable. I would say that it was interesting to try, but muddled cucumber martini’s are still much better.

Smells like cucumber. Very clean and crisp smell. Tastes like cucumber as well. This would not be my favorite flavor for a tea. I don’t think I care much for the savory flavors in tea. But this is all it claims to be and I’d recommend that anyone at least give it a try if you have a fondness for cucumbers. Could be a good substitute in those cold winter months when fresh produce is only a snow covered dream. :)

You have to taste this tea. I had it iced tonight and OMG it was great. A reallynice balance of green and oolong (just barely sweet – a dash of astringency but not at all bitter). Refreshing, subtle, but definitely there cucumber. Awesome. I’m going for a second steep, hot, in a minute

This tea kind of threw me off guard. It had a pretty mild smell when I opened the bag (it was a gift from a friend of mine) and I was very unsure about how I would feel about a cucumber oolong blend. So I made a cup instead of a pot.

The smell after steeping (steeped for 3.5 minutes for the first cup) was faintly of cucumbers (no where near as strong/annoying as most body sprays) and the taste was crisp and clean. I felt extremely refreshed after drinking the cup that I had to go and make a whole pot of it. I don’t know if I will order some on my own, but I will definitely enjoy the bit that I have.
