I picked this one up last night because I’ve been craving lemon tea. It was $2.50 a box. I was supremely disappointed to find that most store brands aren’t just straight up lemon (which is what I wanted). There were many more honey or spice variations though. I think I’ve had this one before, but I was unsure. The smell of this one is very strong! It smells a bit like cleaner if I try to sniff to much…but also like these lemon+honey cough drops that I had recently. To be honest this freaks me out a bit. A small note: this also seems to have an added 20% vit. C. O.o interesting move there.
This is…interesting. I think what is wrong here is that yes, it is pretty artificial tasting. The ginseng is the most distracting part of the whole cuppa because it imparts this kind of granular taste/feel that I only like with particular teas. The first half of the sip really isn’t that bad and the lemon takes the forefront. It is when you realize that the other players (honey and lemon) want in on the gig that it is a bit unpleasant. The white tea in there really isn’t helping either. If I was sick I bet this would be great because it is kind of soothing on the throat and I wouldn’t be able to taste it so well…

Another bagged tea I decided to try for work. I can’t really decide how I feel about this one.

Unlike black teas, my first introduction to green was loose leaf and that’s all I’ve had until recently, so instead of being pleasantly surprised by loose leaf green teas, I’m always a bit disappointed by bagged ones. Taking that into account, this one really isn’t that bad. The flavor’s there, it’s pleasant although it’s not particularly noteworthy. The aroma’s not bad.

The problem is the flavoring. Both the lemon and the honey flavors are a little over-strong, and pretty artificial. The lemon is the real problem. It’s not really a fresh, zesty taste. It kind of reminds me of Lemon Pledge. Yuck. The honey isn’t as bad, but it does leave a bit of that stickiness in the throat that comes with artificial sweeteners.

Overall, it’s not bad, just not great — I’ll finish the package — but it’s not something I’d go out of my way to buy again.

I’ve been trying the teas in my “dislike” pile as iced tea so as not to waste them, and this one actually comes out pretty okay. A lot of the artificiality of the flavor is more muted when it’s cold and over ice, and it’s great mixed with lemonade. I might actually grab another box for the next family function.

Well, it’s… okay. And nothing really more than okay. The sweet lemon flavor is strong enough, especially in the aroma, the taste is a bit artificial.

It’s not undrinkable. I finished a box today after several months. But I doubt I’ll ever buy it again. But I can recommend this if you love artificial lemon, have a sore throat, or need to entertain guests that you aren’t particularly fond of.

Smells like lemon cleaner, yuck. Added honey and… Bleck. Tastes too artificial and the Ginsing/honey flavors aren’t very prominent. Maybe I did something wrong? Just doesn’t taste good.

I am drinking pots of this stuff while studying. It’s not my favourite tea, but it is tasty and warm enough to keep me going. I make a four-cup pot full with three bags of this, and one bag of a generic lemon tisane to add extra lemon flavour. It doesn’t need any sweetening and goes down nice and easy.

A lot of my favorite things are in this tea. Green tea, plus a little white, means a milder tea flavor. Honey and lemon are typical remedies for vocalists, and the ginseng adds a nice spiciness that isn’t overpowering. I should drink this on a regular basis during seasons I typically have more allergy problems, or if I’m about to come down with something.

I added three drops each of honey and lemon. Sure, it has them in it already, but I have a voice jury in 3 hours. Going to go eat a small lunch and warm up in a while, but for now I’ll just relax and focus my mind. I love this tea!

Made some in my travel mug, which I took (empty) with me to the student center, and had refilled with very hot water. The second steep, unfortunately, yielded too bland a tea. I even let the bag just sit in the water. Took it out once in a while to test, but that shouldn’t affect it too much. So note to self: additional steeps are too watered down.
Drinking lots of tea because I have a voice jury in 2.5 hours. Joy.

This tea has an overwhelming lemon taste. I drank it plain – no sweetener or milk. I don’t get any real impression of the tea. I don’t think I’d brew a whole pot of this – it leaves a rather sour aftertaste. It probably would taste good if I had a cold, when I seem to crave lemon, the more the better.

A bit artificial-tasting, yet, refreshing. I like the ginseng-green tea mix and the fresh scent of the lemon zest makes this tea attractive. It still has an artificial taste “somewhere”.

My friend getting over a cold gave me a box so this is what I’m sipping on this afternoon. Very smooth- I’m even able to tolerate the lemon, as I have to be in a mood for lemon in my tea. I wish I had this tea when I was getting over my cold last month!

This is my current fave at work. I love the aftertaste!

This is a great everyday inexpensive green tea. It withstands abusive preparation—I make it in the microwave at work and it comes out just fine. You can really taste the honey and lemon flavors. It’s pretty pedestrian, but also quite satisfying.

This beats the pants off of the “Bremer” brand honey-lemon-ginseng-green tea. It smells very sweet and appetizing, like a honey-lemon scone, with an appetizing taste to match. I think I also really enjoy the addition of eleuthero—the ingredient in “Tension Tamer”, which I think is fabulous. What a great “winter”-variety green tea!

This tea is very soothing to drink hot with honey. Very good for sore throats of colds. Iced, it is very refreshing; perfect for a hot day.
