From DAVIDsTEA

What could be better than chocolate and pink peppercorn? How about chocolate, pink peppercorn and banana! With sweet bits of apple. This tea is absolutely incredible. It’s complex, comforting and rich. Satisfying, smooth and mysterious. With a light pique of peppers to keep your guests guessing. Try it hot or iced. And don’t worry, we can’t stop drinking it either.

1 TB for 450mL water, bare.

Dang! I really wanted to like this more than I do. I hang in limbo right now DavidsTea enters month two (!) of reformulating my beloved Super Chocolate, a green rooibos base with chocolate bits, ciunnamon and a sprinkling of green tea. They suggested I try Spicy Chocolate Rooibos while waiting.

I drink a lot of rooibos throughout the day, as much for my health as for the taste. Colds don’t last nearly as long anymore.

But Spicy Chocolate Rooibos has a red rooibos base. I’ve really come to prefer green rooibos. At least this red rooibos base isn’t minty, but it is woody. Meh. Woody red rooibos with a slick overlay of banana. I saw but did not taste the chocolate bits and peppercorns.

I’ll drink it, but not necause I enjoy it. A real disappointment.

Oh no! I too am upset Super Chocolate isn’t available. My closest store doesn’t have any though I haven’t checked others. I was hoping Spicy Chocolate would be a good substitute but wasn’t too enthused when I smelled it so I passed for the time being. Here’s hoping for Super Chocolate’s reappearance ASAP!

Its been one of those long days. i am looking forward to drinking my tea. I notice a strong banana scent.First sip- no taste of chocolate or peppercorn?i’m a little confused- this taste pretty plain.Maybe i have to taste this a little more often, but as of today- i have to agree with every one else comments. This doesn’t live up to the hype -“this organic tea is absolutely incredible”… not

This tea is simply odd, I don’t taste the chocolate but a medley of confusing tastes put together. I simply didn’t like it hot or cold…

It just tastes confusing, and its a taste that doesn’t really appeal too much to my taste buds. I find it funny that it’s called a spicy chocolate rooibos tea because i don’t taste the chocolate and i certainly don’t taste the spiciness. It’s also rather odd that there are bits of apple and banana thrown in because I’m not sure if i ever used spicy and fruit in the same sentence before.
