From Good Earth Teas

With natural flavors. A natural source of antioxidants. Individually wrapped for freshness. Good Earth chooses white tea from select regions of China and blends it with green tea to balance and enhance the flavor and healthful benefits. The rarest of teas, white tea is picked from the first tender leaves and buds in the first few weeks in spring. Fresh leaves are immediately steamed, then dried, leaving much more of their inherent benefits intact. As a result, experts say, white tea boasts more catechins, powerful antioxidants. Contains no sugar, preservatives, artificial flavors or colors.

This is a nice, delicate tea but can’t go all the way to the top based on it’s over-sweetness. White teas are in general a lovely and sweet tea, somehow the blending on this one made it inch towards too sweet. The vanilla taste is lost in the overall “sweet”, a shame since I love vanilla. This is very much a dessert kind of tea, although I’d have it with a more savoury dessert (a custard with balsamic vinegar, for instance) rather than with a cake.

This tea has a really good flavor, but be warned because Good Earth blends in lemon grass and other herbal ingredients into this tea flavor besides vanilla and white tea. Definitely one of my favorite teas so far.

A very mild vanilla tea. Slightly sweet, not as rich as other Good Earth teas can be. It tastes like cheap white tea, but the flavor hides it gracefully. I like it, but I don’t know if I’ll buy it again.
