I’ve been employeed at Steeps/Oolong tea houses in Calgary for over 4 years. The Silver Cloud that we sell comes from a distributer over seas in Germany. They flavour it with what they call “Prickly Pear”. Personally the aroma of the leafs gives off a soft lemon and floral smell. On the toungue it has a delicate taste and is quite light. White Tea by Steeps, The Urban Teahouse
This is a delicious flavored and scented white tea that I’ve only ever found at Steeps teahouse in Edmonton, AB, Canada. I’m not sure which supplier they source this particular blend from, but it’s delightful. (I would say it is similar, but not quite the same as “White Pearl of Fujian” from Florapharm.) The additional flavors don’t cover up the flavor of the white tea used, which is smooth and delicate. The flavorings themselves aren’t listed on the tin, but I seem to taste notes of Rose and Jasmine, and possibly Lychee. The blend is beautifully fragrant, but not overwhelming when tasted. As with all white teas, this one should not be over steeped as it will turn bitter after a time.
