Green Herbal Blend by The Tea Emporium
Delicate Japanese Sencha blended with forest fruits including raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. Light and vegetative with beautiful fruit flavours.
Dry, this tea is outstanding. Just an incredibly heady smell of fresh fruit and light sencha.
Unfortunately, even after a steep at the correct temperature for much longer than I would usually do a green, checking every thirty seconds, the flavour remained stubbornly that of a lightly vegetal green. There was a faint aroma, a back-hint of the fruitiness of the dry leaf, of berries, but the tea was clear and light. Very underwhelming. Very unimpressed. Very disappointed.
Spoilt myself for my birthday! The taste wasn’t as strong as the smell, which was too bad. Very mild.
The first looseleaf tea I ever received as a gift. I adore this blend, and it makes me think of good friends and good times. Unfortunately now that the Tea Emporium has closed up shop and I used the last of my stash, it will have to live only in my memories. It was a truly great berry blend, though, with a delightful pink tone to the water once steeped.
