drank Caramel Cheesecake Black Tea by 52teas

mmmm quick tea with lunch before we head to the gym. I still think the caramel pumpkin spice cheesecake one is way better than this, but this one will do in a pinch. Having fun dorting through my teas again today :)

Alphakitty

Caramel Pumpkin Cheesecake is like this tea’s older, more sophisticated cousin. It’s the one you really want to hang out with, but Caramel Cheesecake’s nice as well and will do when CPC is nowhere to be found.

Adjusting the rating on this one again now that I’ve had the pleasure of tasting other teas :)

Another tea from my Amoda October box!

I quite enjoy the blueberry flavour in this tea. Theres a nice balance between the base and the blueberries. Also, the blueberries don’t have an artificial taste to them. It’s a bit like blueberry jam filled pastry or something along those lines. I think this was a great choice by Amoda.

Mmmmm trying to sort through my teas and figure out where I stand with the teas I have. As a result moving ratings around and trying to figure out what I still love or don’t now that I’ve had a few months of tasting a lot more teas :)

I’m dropping this rating a little, not because I don’t enjoy the tea, but because I’ve found others now (from butiki even) that I love even more than this one. I really like the sweet, earth, apricoty feel of this tea.

Azzrian

I am trying to do the same thing – I have some teas getting to be around 9 months old I need to either decide to keep, or send off, etc.

Kittenna

I have some teas nearing a year! :O Plus some that are way older, but if I focused on them, I could probably finish them off in a couple weeks.

Won a glass tumbler the other day from the tea emporium here in Toronto. What’s awesome about that is that now I can make cold brews in something with a lid! Lol I’ve been holding on to the last of my sample of this one for a cold brew and I’m glad that I did! This will be a fantastic tea in the heat of the summer! Tethers enough of a tarty flavour to it that its refreshing and delicious. :)

Indigobloom

ooooh what location? I go to the Bay and King store but they don’t have to go cups. Probably a good thing haha

Sil

Tea Emporium – used to go to bay and king when I worked at FCP now i visit the eglinton location. They were having a contest on twitter/facebook the other day. It’s a pretty nice tumbler – though small.

Finally had time this weekend to have a smoothie. I’ve got some major work to do this weekend at the house and for work. Thought I’d kick off sunday with this to brew up some enrgy while I tackle the house stuff while my other half is at work. That way we can hit the gym when he gest home! woot! Discovered that I managed to not gain back any weight while we were on vacation and taking 2.5 weeks off of the gym. Even while on an “all you can eat” cruise :)

ashmanra

Wow! That is amazing!

Sil

Seriously…when I stepped on the scale I was like.. WTF are you kidding me? YAY! I think I’m finally starting to get the hang of this gym thing. Now my goal is to get to under 10 min miles. I’m sure Kittena could whip me into shape though lol blah running…

Indigobloom

I always gain my weight a week or two after I get back from vacation… but you’re past that point so yay!! what’s your secret lol

Babble

You think that’s bad, trying WORKING on a cruise ship for 6.5 months and having all the food you want at ALL times. You have to get creative with exercise. I found taking the stairs a lot helped ;)

Kittenna

Hahaha, I haven’t been running much. Ran those two races and that’s about it. I need to start getting back to the treadmill! I think I run just under 10 min miles? I can do a 9-min one, I know…

Mmmmm this tea is really nice. I’m not sure that it usurps my love of laoshan black but I am really enjoying running through the steepings of this one. The first steeping was a wonderful chocolatey mess of delicious. Not sweet chocolate but a mute cocoa type chocolate without the bitter. Mmmmmmmm!

Terri HarpLady

I’ve been really enjoying the imperial summer breakfast blend lately, which is like the best of all of verdant’s black teas, although Laoshan black is still #1 in my tea cup too!

Sil

Not a big fan of the imperial breakfast blend but certainly don’t hate it heh

Thanks for sharing IndigoBloom

This is a lovely green tea. I’m in the middle of work…yes on the weekend BLAH so not much brain power to think about proper tasting notes. BUT i’m really enjoying this. I haven’t had a straight green in a while so this is a freshing tea for this evening.

Indigobloom

hehe glad you like it! :)

I was overwhelmed today during my “break” at Majesteas. Too many things i really wanted to try but sadly they pretty much only sell their teas in 100g sizes. While that’s fine if you know you LOVE a tea, it’s a bit much if you don’t know if you like it. So I opted to have another cup while I was htere and give this one a try.

It was great! I really love how fresh the tea is, and love the streawberry flavouring. I didn’t find it astringent at all. Though I didn’t end up leaving with this particular tea, it’s now on my list to go back and pick up sometime when I manage to sip down more of my stash.

Nik

Got any Steepster friends in Toronto? Maybe you can do a group purchase and divide the 100g to make it worthwhile for everyone. =)

Indigobloom

they will make up a sample for you if you ask nicely :)
maybe 15g

Sil

Indigo…yeah but the offer was then proceeded by “but it can be more expensive that way” which to me means….“we don’t really want to be doing that”

Indigobloom

true, it doesn’t leave them with much profit. Not so bad if you pair it with another purchase. Say a to go cup or another full 50g of something else etc

Bio

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling as well!

Most of that is on hold these days though, including tea drinking like I used to as I have a new little one who eats up all my spare time.
