Popular Tasting Notes
When I opened the tin, the smell was lovely and strong. I steeped two teaspoons for approximately 3 minutes.
First sip: the flavor is a bit weaker than I expected, given the strong smell.
Second sip: Hmm… stronger flavor, and the almost-salty taste when it hits the back of your tongue distinctive of milk oolong.
Third sip onward: Much better. But the flavor is still lacking some of the complexity I expect from milk oolong.
It’s a decent, but I probably won’t be ordering more from TeaCuppa when I’m done with the tin because I know there’s better out there.
Preparation
Excellent cup of tea. Simple, but the bergemot gives off a wonderful aroma/essence. Great tea for all times of the day – usually have it in the evening. Has caffeine apparently but I did not notice any effects. For the price and convenience this is a great tea.
Flavors: Bergamot
Preparation
I had to give my bag of this one away. It was a horrible blend for me. I’m not sure what about it I disliked so much, all I know is the taste, was like tequila rose… which made my stomach flip flop when I tried it. I also tried it both hot and iced, and neither were okay.
I love this tea and drink it often.it is a very full bodied tea, a great option for a breakfast tea as it will stand up well to the addition of milk and sugar (although I drink it without either). I leave my leafs in the entire time I am drinking instead of the recommended 4-6min. I don’t find the tea to get bitter or astringent (however I am not very sensitive to either); it stays smooth and earthy even with leaving the leaves in for so long. This is a CTC tea and definitely has a different appearance than most straight black teas. It is one of my favorite straight black teas, if not my favorite.
