Puerh tea is by far one of my top teas to drink. It’s earthy, but isn’t too bitter and there’s a sweetness after you drink it. I could definitely drink this multiple times and not get tired of drinking it.

This is the second tea I’ve tried from my recent Steepster Select box.

My first few sips, I felt taste-blind, couldn’t really pick anything out. It does have a slightly pine smell to it. After letting it cool a few moments and sipping again, there is a slight sweetness or fruity quality to it. The description on the card says ‘pear-like fruitiness’.

It’s a very nice oolong, but, perhaps my tastes just swing differently as I’m a teensy bit underwhelmed by it.

I love this tea. It has just the right amount of sweet and vanilla which is balanced out by the orange and the clove. Its like a sparkly dessert in a mug.

drank Mint To Be (Organic) by DAVIDsTEA

For a product marketed as a consumers-choice experiment, I was honestly expecting this tea to be a messy combination of flavours without any balance or harmony whose taste would reflect its lack of care or craftsmanship. I took a cup home once it was named and was blown away. True to a black tea, it carries a dominant base backing coconut and cane sugar flavours on the nose and tongue, but finishes with a 50/50 balanced, simple yet prominent mint that dances all the way down your throat to cool the belly. Appeals to both the seasoned, former-coffee drinker with a heavier palette (that’s me) and the tea newbie looking for strong flavours that are familiar and easy to identify. A fan favourite, and therefore an obvious consumers’ choice. Well done David!

I really enjoyed this. The passionfruit flavor is strong, though a tad artificial, even when cold steeped which is what I bought this for. Very refreshing for summer, and will likely repurchase.
