New Tasting Notes

A nice mildly malty flavor with a hint of citrus. Prepared six teaspoons to 32 oz. (6 oz cups) water brought to boiling and steeped 2 minutes. I keep it in a thermos to sip throughout the morning.

This is one of my everyday teas – very clean tasting with a nice color and scent.

I like this tea but I don’t think it’s what I was craving this morning. Still a good cup tho

I’ve enjoyed this straight-up in my cup, as well as mixed with milk and a bit of chocolate powder. It’s a solid Match for daily home use.

Flavored teas usually leave a funny aftertaste for me, but this one is nice. Like I just ate a caramel cream pie.

I really like this tea, but I seem to like my earl grey somewhat tame. The cream really mellows it out, the bergamot is very light. It has a lovely scent – very sweet, delicate, shortbread cookie-like.

Opening the tin, the amazing bouquet draws you in. It is as if I lit a stick of Jasmine incense and let the smoke waft up around me. This key characteristic is also the key problem with this tea: the bouquet overpowers the flavor. It is like drinking a bottle of perfume.

Not too bad, as chocolate teas go. Tastes more carob than chocolate. I had it with milk and a little sugar this time, but I think I’ll forego the sugar next time.

Gongfu style, 7g in a 7oz. Yixing pot. 1 rinse at 10s, 5 steeps at 15s, 20s, 30s, 1m, 3m. This will last from my first cup of the day to almost the end of the day.

Even with no decaf-ing, and a 3 min steep at 195F, I’m still not thrilled. Less astringent this time, but it’s just very bland for a flavored black tea.

Had a rather greasy lunch, typical of local hawker foods. With the heat and the grease, i was feeling really lethargic. Popped one of these little fellas in a mug of hot water and felt much better.

Starting to get used to the idea of starting my day every morning with this. Perks me up in an instant.

Delicious! Amazing for an organic sencha it gives 3-4 steeps of the same quality flavor. Really great green color and fresh aroma. I really like it!

I want to sell it

I love this tea. Pearl teas are always fun regardless, but the fruit choice helps compliment the naturally delicate white tea perfectly.

Great tea. My first entry into Oolongs, ensuring I’ll keep going back for more. Really nice roasted flavor with an earthy palate.

30 second decaffeination rinse. First sip way more astringent than I expected. Added a little half & half and 1 packet of stevia, still not thrilled. I’m going to try again tomorrow morning and see how the flavor is with no decaf time, and a 3 minute steep.
