The mint plus green tea and fruit combo ends up a little murky for my preferences. I wish the strawberry were brighter.

Sweet strawberries combined with tangy lime plus a hint of rum & spearmint to create a sublime (alcohol-free) cocktail inspired tea that is sure to refresh you on the hot days that lay ahead! This tea is fabulous served hot, even better when cold-brewed!
Countdown to Catching Up, Part 2 – Tea 2 (Counting Down from 10 to 1!)
The idea for this tea came from Taco Bell. Wait, what? Taco Bell? Seriously? Yep, Taco Bell! I kid you not! My youngest & I have become fond of the latest “freeze” drink from Taco Bell, which is a specific popular soft drink plus strawberry & cream flavors in a slush-like consistency.
As I was pondering the idea of creating a lime soda with strawberry & cream flavors, my mind took a pivot from that idea & all the sudden, I started making a Strawberry Mojito cocktail tea which starts with a Chinese Sencha base, to which I’ve added freeze-dried strawberries, dehydrated lime segments, a hint of spearmint & some alcohol-free rum essence. The result is absolutely splendid!
Certainly not my original idea when I first thought about this tea & I suspect I will revisit that original idea at a future time, but for now, I’m so happy with how this tea turned out. The strawberry is nicely defined, as is the lime. The spearmint is subtle but its crisp notes weave their way throughout the sip. The rum is also subtle, but it’s nicely smooth. Overall, while this is a “cocktail” inspired tea, the flavor is such that even those who are tea-totalers (like me) can enjoy it.
It’s also organic, vegan, gluten-free, allergen-friendly & all natural.
organic ingredients: green tea, strawberries, limes, spearmint leaves & natural flavors
to brew: shake pouch to ensure ingredients are well-incorporated. The spearmint leaves will shift toward the bottom of the pouch & you’ll want to make sure that some of the spearmint is in each measurement.
Use 3g of tea with 12g of fresh water heated to 175°F. Steep for 2 minutes, strain & enjoy!
serving suggestion: I enjoyed this both hot or iced. It’s a very refreshing drink! I like it without sweetener, but if you prefer a sweeter tea, this takes a little bit of sugar nicely & I find that the sugar brings even more definition to the strawberry & lime notes. Honey is even nicer than sugar, in my opinion!

This is immediately reminiscent of a mojito. It's even got a rum note! Very lime and mint forward. Not really getting much strawberry. I tried adding honey to bring that flavor out more, but …Read full tasting note

I cold-brewed this one overnight - so refreshing! Sweet strawberry, tart lime & just a hint of rum. I've never actually had a strawberry mojito (unless you count the mojito drinks at ShareTea? I think I've had a Strawberry Mojito from them,…Read full tasting note
