Madagascar Vanilla

This is an ok rooibos, sort of like a plainer version of Jeoffery’s African Celebration. There are definitely undertones of marzipan and vanilla, but not strong clean vanilla like vanilla extract. There is a kind of silty metal/mineral flavour? It is fairly common in rooibos and isn’t bad at all. The rooibos base is mediocre.

Definitly a sweeter yet almost nutty taste with a very warm and comforting tone. Seems to be perfect for when guests come over for tea!!!

This tea has a nice mix of rooibos and vanilla, with the vanilla flavor not being too strong or commandeering. It is a great late afternoon or evening tea when you do not want or need caffeine.

A good and simple rooibos blend. Brews to a kind of intense color for some reason. Great to have on hand as a relaxing, caffeine free option.

This was a good introduction to rooibos tea for me. The vanilla is a nice complement to the rooibos. I’ve found some very nice loose leaf rooibos teas with vanilla recently, but this is a good inexpensive bagged one that you can find at the grocery store.

Also got a swap package from the lovely, Rosehips! :D She sent me some teas I’ve been wanting to try for a while, such as this one! :D
I haven’t been able to find this anywhere, other than the seller’s website. So I couldn’t resist the opportunity to try it.
It wasn’t as strong as I hoped it would be, but the vanilla is definitely there. I didn’t think it tasted too artificial, but I really wished that it had been stronger. Then it would have been the perfect vanilla tea before bed!
But since it wasn’t, I’d say it’s an alright tea. Not the best. But I’ll finish the sample. I’m really really glad this was only a sample, and that Rosehips gave me the opportunity to try it! Thanks again! :D

I had this tea last night for vanilla week! Its something another guest bought looking for something without caffeine. It was never opened though so when I unsealed it I got a strong aroma of vanilla. Rooibus is something I tried to like but never really did, in this tea it plays a supporting role to the vanilla but I think I need it stronger. I had 1 bag in 10 oz of water. I’ll try it again with 2 bags before I rate it. It does remind me of a sugar cookie.

This is quite an awesome bagged tea. I love a vanilla rooibos for nighttime comfort, and sometimes day comfort. This is my (current) jam. It’s warm and rich with that slightly earthy rooibos awesomeness. As far as bagged rooibos goes, this is delicious beyond reason.

If I add creamer, this is still great and super-rich. Until I find a better quality option with this great flavor, it’s on the top of my vanilla rooibos list.

My local tea house sells a tea the tastes remarkably like Madagascar Vanilla Red and calls it Red Velvet… which I think is pretty spot on, though it lacks creaminess

One of my all time favorite teas. Red tea is such a unique and refreshing taste, and the vanilla notes make this truly comforting and tasty.
