From DAVIDsTEA

As of January 2024 this matcha is certified organic.

In Japanese, “matsu” literally means “pine tree”. But it’s also a term that indicates excellence. This powdered green tea lives up to its name. Quality this high can only be graded as “matsu”. Strong in taste and aroma, this matcha is pure indulgence – perfect for cleansing the palate during a fabulous meal. Whisk it into almost-boiled water and enjoy. (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Matcha green tea from Nishio, Japan.

It was alright. Very strong green tea taste. You would have to really enjoy green tea to like this tea. Also, I found I didn’t want to look at the color as it grossed me out when I was drinking it. BUT, it is said to have phenomenal health benefits…so I drink it anyway :)

I was accidentally given 50g of this when I asked for 25g.

I do not regret this.

It tastes really really good. And I know it will be even better when I whisk it with a matcha whisk. It was a little bit bitter, but that’s okay. The grassiness of the tea matched my expectations so I’m happy.

Can’t wait to incorporate this in, like, everything I bake. MATSU.

I love green tea, but as a first try on its own, it did taste a little bitter. It’s much better texture and flavour once you add milk.

I try a lot of different matchas in my life, this one hits the spot. Whisk it properly with the matcha whisk and you’re good to go. Add some agave nectar (or a sweetener) for a sweet-latte mixed with some milk and ice. I do like my matcha cold so yeah. It’s definitely got a deep flavour compared to the regular matcha from DAVIDsTEA. If you don’t add sugar or cream it kind of tastes fishy? Like seaweed? Blech.
