From Holy Mountain Trading Company

This quality in a black tea is rare. It is grown in Fujian province, and picked only in the early spring by highly skilled workers. The leaves are tightly rolled into the needle shapes which gives this tea its unique appearance. English-style tea drinkers will enjoy this tea for its rich taste and fine aroma. Steep with spring water at a temperature slightly below boiling.

This kind of smelled a tad fruity to me – dry leaf wise
Wet leaves are a woodsy smell
Liquid doesn’t smell much if at all

It’s a medium black tea color…nice color!

I can see how some would say this is bitter. I’m thinking it’s a natural bitter and not like an oversteeped bitter type taste. It’s a different-type of bitter if you know what I mean.

The taste grew on me…to where I almost kind of like it.

This is a black tea. It smells like black tea also. I steeped it up a short time. This is good but, not usually the type of black teas I go for. The taste is different a little bit of something to me.

I still don’t like this tea all that much. It is too strong and bitter for me.
