drank Jasmine Yin Hao (#9) by Adagio Teas

Hey all — yes, I still exist and haven’t imploded from all the stressors in my life at the moment. Unfortunately, my tea drinking exploration has temporarily come to a screeching halt as I’ve been stuck on Jasmine #9 for at least a week. I typically brew some up in my JOEmo and take it to work where after I almost drink it all I add some cold water and continue doing so throughout the day. And that’s been it. As I type this I’m slightly horrified. Oh well, it’s working for me right now, so I’ll go with it.

One thing that I’ve been meaning to mention is how awesome the JOEmo is at keeping the tea temp. I had filled it with cold water and driven out to my interview the other week where I left it in my car (heat index was above 100 degrees — blech). When I came back out almost 2 hours later my car was an oven. I grabbed the thermos (which was warm to the touch) and then almost did a spit-take when the water inside was as cold as it had been when I originally poured it. It was a super-pleasant surprise. :)

Yay for non-implosion! Hoping for non-explosion as well!

If you had to get stuck on a tea, jasmine is a pretty great tea to get stuck on!!!

I am hoping things ease up!

Proud all-around nerd, crafter, and brand-new Assistant Library Director. Give me an engrossing book and a wonderful cup of tea and I’m in heaven.

After being a barista for almost a decade it wasn’t until 2010 that I discovered loose leaf tea. Now I’m hooked.

How I use Steepster has been evolving since I joined. Yes, I use it for my personal “to buy or not to buy” info, but I’m enough of a goofball that I hope it can amuse others more often than not.

I’ve also started to become anal about my tea (times and temps). That’s surprised me. I finally realized that I should respect the leaves like I used to respect the beans. I also take my tea plain unless otherwise noted.

There’s really nothing remarkable or noteworthy of how I rate teas. I do take it a tiny further step to help clarify the muddled middle grounds for myself. TG is a definite repurchase. Anything below that is less and less likely.
