Why do you drink tea?

The question ALL of our relatives and friends ask us. But what is your true reason?

Mine:
It brings peace and meaning to the ordinary.

I’ve never been asked, but then I am English :) Personally I guess it’s habit – we always had a few kinds of tea in the house, as an English/Taiwanese family – but I like that tea is easier on my stomach than coffee and has a tonne of variety.

Because nothing tastes better than tea. There are so many different kinds, and you can have it hot or cold. It’s quick and easy to make, just add water. It can help me wake up or relax.

And it’s a healthier way to get myself to drink milk than eating oreos.

But you surely have a reason. Or a time you drink tea…when you do start to boil the water, why?

Taste, smell, and it’s a simple pleasure in life.

It’s a way to get myself to drink lots of water without adding sugar like for KoolAid. And the taste. :)

I used to drink tons of soft drinks and wanted to break myself of that habit for health and diet reasons. I tried in the past, but it never worked. Finally I started drinking tea as an alternative. A lot of iced tea, but all kinds of tea. It’s been over a year now and I’m still exploring different sorts of tea but I hardly ever have any soft drinks now. The variety and different flavors in tea really appeals to me and the taste is so much better than sugary sodas.

Very cool. It keeps me from drinking beer in the evenings (usually have two).

Drinking tea puts me in my happy place. No matter what is happening with me personally or the world around me, tea just makes everything right. It truly does bring about a sense of peace and tranquility.

It also reminds me of my mum who passed away almost 9 years ago.

I’m raising a cup of tea to your mum. My mom was the one who introduced me to tea when I was a young girl; she passed away 23 years ago.

Because I don’t have a coffee pot. And there is a lot of tea here.

Because I am a wine drinker, not a beer drinker.
