I love my Cold 911 from David’s Tea. I find the menthol works to clear my stuffiness but the tea actually tastes alright. It certainly isn’t something I run to every day, but for a cold it really does the trick.

For another really strong mint, Tazo’s Refresh was a nice surprise.

I just got over a cold and what really helped me was spearmint leaves tea from Davistea with a spoonful of raw honey. I think any kind of mint herbal tea would do the job, it’s such a relief for sore throat and dry cough I strongly recommend you try it! As a bonus it’s pretty tasty :)

I have some of their White Chocolate Frost.

I like anything with strong ginger in it. It opens up all of your sinuses. Davids Tea super ginger is good. I also have quite a few ginger and peach herbal as well as black blends.

Stash White Christmas. Cheap, easy to find, in tea bags which for once is a bonus ‘cause when I’m sick I don’t want to have to deal with messing with loose leaf and washing out infusers, etc. White tea with peppermint and ginger. Opens up the passageways, calms the stomach and head, and hopefully gives the body some of that tea antioxidant goodness.

Also a fan of Verdant Ginger Sage Winter Spa Blend but it’s fancier feeling to me so if I really can’t taste a thing due to congestion I don’t waste it.

I’ve been pretty curious about New Mexico Tea Company’s wellness teas, they have one that has pretty much every immune support ingredient I’ve ever heard of and then some. But there’s no reviews on Steepster last I checked and I haven’t reordered from them yet (still have plenty of my NMTC staples on hand), so…Samovar’s Turmeric Spice is definitely not a taste for everyone, more like curry medicine in a cup (especially since I add sliced garlic for an immune boost), but the ingredients do help my throat and congestion.

For me it really depends on how sore my throat is. I tend to bounce between a green chai and Sweet Dreams (camomile, mint, plus a few more ingredients herbal tea.) But anything with ginger can be good too!

Awww, I feel ya on the being sick thing. I’m on day 5 of a sore throat which is now morphing into a cough. I have been plowing through my box of Throat Coat, which really does make my throat feel better! It gets some bad reviews here from folks who have an aversion to licorice, but it you like that flavor then it really isn’t so bad. Hope you feel better soon!

I’ve had a cold for a few days and have stuck mainly to peppermint, Cold 911 (Davids) and a mix of lemon verbena and (you guessed it) more peppermint. Sometimes they taste weird to me from my cold, but in general they help me feel better. I also branched the whole way out to Santa’s Secret one day but I found the herbals worked better for me.

I’m partial to Celestial Seasonings Honey Vanilla Chamomile and Verdant’s Holy Basil Spa Blend when I’m feeling sick. I usually add a bit of raw honey to the Honey Vanilla and it’s a great throat soother. The Spa Blend is good for opening my sinuses. It’s also a good tummy soother.

I do love that Honey Vanilla Chamomile! It has been a staple in my cupboard for at least 10 years.

Yeah, if I had to describe “comfort in a cup” Honey Vanilla Chamomile would be it.
