593 Tasting Notes

Huang Jin Bolero from Adagio Teas
70

I’ve had the last of this in storage for awhile, but it still packs quite a punch. Still full bodied and sweet. Lovely!

Organic Yunnan Golden Needle from American Tea Room
97

Incredible, and one of the best of its type. As the others have said, it is creamy and chocolaty while also having a slight woody backnote that gives it some structure. Remarkable.

Darjeeling from two leaves and a bud
78

Wow! This is a very lovely Darjeeling, light, fruity (muscatel!) and decidedly slurpable!

Jun Chiyabari FTGFOP1 First Flush 2012 from Rare Tea Republic
71
Phoobsering (Rare Tea Collection) from The Republic of Tea
No. 23 Kandy from Smith Teamaker
67
Pouchong from Canton Tea Co

Anxi Rou Gui from Canton Tea Co
88
Scottish Caramel Toffee Pu-erh from English Tea Store

Irish Breakfast from Adagio Teas
69

Yes, I do work for Adagio and I fully admit this fact. I still think that our Irish Breakfast is an insanely good deal and very tasty to boot. So there.

Irish Breakfast from Adagio Teas
69
Scottish Breakfast from English Tea Store
76

When I want a relatively austere, non-sweet tea, this one takes the cake.

Wen Shan Bao Zhong from Naivetea
78

As others have noted, this is a decidedly more robust Bao Zhong than what I am used to. Sweet, but also vegetal. Substantial.

Formosa Bai Hao (Oolong #40) from Adagio Teas
80
Irish Breakfast from Adagio Teas
69
Mu Zha Tie Guan Yin from Naivetea
88
Formosa Bai Hao (Oolong #40) from Adagio Teas
80
Yunwu Green (Cloud Mist) from Peter Asher Coffee and Tea
79
Irish Breakfast from Adagio Teas
69
English Tea Store from English Breakfast Blend No 2

Severe Degree of Fermentation Oolong Tea from GoeTea

This is a truly exquisite oolong. Complex, fruity, nutty, rich. Get it. Drink it.
