Dry leaves smell a little like Citronella
During infusion the scent really starts popping out and completely morphs into something else! Lovely Peach and Apricot with a dash of Ginger…nice scent!

Taste…The Black Tea and Ginger are a just a half of a step ahead of the Peach/Apricot taste…it all blends well together and it’s tasty. YUM

In reading through the ingredient list, I’m perplexed as to why there are apricot pieces in it instead of peach pieces. As a tea blender, I know that the fruit pieces have really very little impact (practically NO impact) on the flavor of the tea… so that isn’t the issue. I don’t think that peach pieces are in so short supply that they couldn’t have been used in this blend. So the only thing I can think of is that maybe it’s a bit more difficult to find organic peach pieces than it is to find organic apricot pieces.

Anyways, on to the tasting. The ginger and peach are balanced well in this cup. Neither one overwhelms the other – and the overall flavor is sweet yet spicy. It’s quite enjoyable.

I also like that I can taste the black tea but that it is mild enough that it doesn’t interfere with the peachy, ginger-y flavor that I love!

that is true aurazen, I am the creator of this blend… organic peaches that meet my quality check for taste are near impossible for me to find.

I live near Park Hill Pantry and the creator of the tea said to me a couple months ago that this was a very popular tea when it wasn’t organic, however, when he altered the recipe to meet a 100% organic blend, he had to substitute apricots for the dried peaches since he did not have access to organic dried peaches… he is a masterful blender, even though it could be called ginger apricot, it tastes exactly like the original conventional ginger peach blend… I keep it around because it is very soothing and my kids even love the way it tastes without sugar
