Svart blåbärste med vanilj var ett av de första teerna Sofie köpte på lösvikt till sin första egna lägenhet och det förvarades i en blåblommig plåtburk. Därför smakar det här teet nostalgi och 20-årsåldern för henne. Ett klassiskt te som faller de flesta i smaken, med en god rund smak av blåbär och aronia.

Nabo 2023 Advent Day 18: Blåbär
I steeped this at 3 minutes (recommended 3-4) and there was quite a bit of astringency.
I tried again at 2.5 minutes and it’s much smoother with no astringency. The blueberry flavour smells great in the dry tea, but it’s not as robust in the steeped flavour. I’m going to do another trial at a different temperature to see if I the blueberry flavour pops more.

A blueberry flavoured black tea is exactly up to my alley! But sadly, it seems I have oversteeped that a bit… there is some harsh edge of the lovely black tea with jammy blueberry note. There is also hint of vanilla maybe? It was a bit creamy and smooth. But that harsh edge… because my fault, that makes me a bit bitter.
