Black Tea by The Tao of Tea

A hand-crafted blend of full-bodied organic Indian black tea from Nilgiri, natural bergamot essence and beautiful blue Malva flowers. Malva is a genus within the family Malvaceae, which also includes Inter Alia, Althaea, Abutilon, Gossypium, Hibiscus, Lavatera and Sidalcea, and is particularly close to Lavatera. There are about 15 species of Malva and are broadly found in the Mediterranean and temperate Europe, China and northern India. Malvas are annual, biennial or short-lived perennial herbs. The flowers are pink, purple or bluish. Fresh, Citrusy and slightly floral.

Smells wonderful and is very pretty. I like Nilgiri so this base appeals to me. It is a strong Earl Grey. I’m not sure the flowers smooth it out at all like the container claims. If you don’t like Earl Grey, this will definitely not appeal to you – this is a slap you in the face Earl. Compared to others I probably won’t buy this one again. I think my tastes have become a bit more subtle when it comes to the Earl. I love it and it is one of my favorite teas, but I have come to like a bit more depth and a little less bergamot.

THIS IS DELICIOUS! Pretty sure this came from Nicole. Thanks Nicole! YUM YUM and more YUM! The cup of vanilla soy I added is contributing to the creaminess, I’m sure, but the flavor is just perfect however it came to be. Yum!
